Unibind PhotoBook Creator Kit with PhotoBook Creator, 8.5x11" Black Landscape Album & PhotoBook Layout Software.

I order this device in order to cut expenses with my photography business. Outsourcing to a company to make photo books is expensive and I was hoping to purchase this device and cut the cost to my customers. Package arrive in two days. I install the "cd" that came with it only to have the cd tell me to go online and download software. I went online downloaded and installed and use the key that csme with software. You need to email the key that came with package to company who will email you a serial number...if you email them after 5pm you will wait intil tomorrow. Now the software is fairly easy to use. I chose the pictures I wanted to use. My intent was to make a portfolio book for myself with my recent photos. The software allowed me to format the book the way I wanted. When clicking on print I had to make corrections on the psper size...instesd of 8x11 it had envelope size with plsin paper etc. After fixing the print property I hit print expecting to see the format on screen print to paper. The cov err page came out perfect...after that it was bleeped up. The sizes croped shifted and did not cover entire page nor did it even center on the page. Images you corrected or shifted in frame ended up cut in half etc. I stop the printing figuring I did some thing wrong...change portrait to landscape setting and reprinted. Came out worst entire photos were cutout images only printed a portion of the pic ie such as sky only printed. I sent the company an email with my dissatisfaction have yet to hear from them. The only saving grace is that when you purchase the hardcover books you can use any type of photopaper paper for the book which however may be more time consuming than needed. Currently looking for a new software program.

The book maker made the first book perfectly. I got about 12 pages of Epson double sided matte in it. Put it in the binder and it just worked.I let about 20 people handle the book and no one was able to pull the pages out. They got pretty rough with it.My only gripe is the 8.5 x 11 book cover is a little flimsy. The cover can bend easier than a hardback book. The 6"x4" books were very sturdy. Already bought 10 more books to get started.It will do 12"x12" books and vertical 8.5"x11" books also. You can also anything in the steelbinding system, so if you want paperbacks, those can be bound too.

I had purchased this with the hope and belief that it might be a nice substitute for Shutterfly, Blurb, and al the other self-publishing tools available to those with digital images. Instead, it is a cumbersome, out-dated and expensive dinosaur. The directions are unclear. The amount of material supplied is less than I would get with the cheapest book from Blurb (or even Walgreen). The refills are expensive. And - the final nail in the coffin - the finished product looks cheap and umnpresentable. I will never buy one of this firm's products again. In fact I will never buy anything from this firm -ever.

Works like a champ, even if there are no directions.Makes a good bind in about 2 minutes.turns itselft on when the book(s) are inserted,and turns itself off when done. I fyou messed upthe orientation of the pages, you can redo.Binding spines cost about $2. ea.Good solid binding.

The first time I ordered this product, it arrived without the Photobook Creator software. I ordered a replacement, and it too arrived without the needed software. Amazon refused to send it a third time because "obviously there's a problem, and we're looking into it." I contacted the company that manufactures this product, and got absolutely no help there. They sent a replacement CD for a "Collage Creator" ... not what is supposed to be included in this product. I tried that software just out of curiosity, and couldn't get it to work. I contacted the company, and was told that by an employee that "Yeah, I tinkered with it, too, and it wasn't very useful." I was given a link to download the latest version of their software. Unfortunately, this program has so many flaws, the only thing that the Photobook Creator created was FRUSTRATION.

I bought this unibind for my wife who had a project she needed it for. As a buyer, I was very happy with the communication, the price and delivery speed. As the user, my wife was very pleased with the product itself.

A friend had this product and it was awesome so I wanted one too. It was shipped to me promptly and I truly appreciated that.
