I love the simplicity of this stand over the kind that you would clamp onto the back of your desk/table.My laptop is 17.5 inches and because of the design, the stand easily handles the larger laptop. It could easily take an even larger laptop as there are no side or back limitations.The fact that that top of the stand is open, it provides plenty of ventilation for the laptop to not overheat as it might on some other platforms that are solid.The stand adjusts high enough so that I can easily place my keyboard under the laptop when I'm not using it and need desk space for some other task. It can easily move around my desk and be pointed to either side if needed.I have my stand set to its highest level so that my laptop screen is even with my external monitor making it easy on the eyes and neck to use two monitors at once.The fact that the stand is tilted downward makes sense for the laptop but it probably wouldn't work so well as a monitor stand.Very solid construction and super easy to assemble and adjust the height.Bravo.

It’s a nice unit. You can raise or lower it to your needs. By having open space where you laptop lays, it reduces the chances that your laptop will overheat. It has a sturdy base so I have no worries it’ll fall. It was delivered on time, in good condition, with proper assembly directions.I do wish that it could tilt and rotate, as well. Those would be nice features, but I knew it couldn’t do that before I bought it. For the money, it’s a good purchase.

Very sturdy, easy to put together, height does adjust photo shows tallest setting. I worried the quality would be low because the price is so reasonable but it is sturdy and balanced works great and looks nice too

I bought this laptop stand after looking for a “DJ laptop stand” that gets the laptop above the console. Problem with most DJ laptop stands is that they’re either very flimsy, or have a unnecessary shelf or is just a piece of junk.The design of the stand, it’s really sturdy, high quality and looks nice and simple. Very functional. However for my use, it does not go tall enough as I would like. As a DJ, I would slide the stand’s base under my roadcase for the console so the laptop can be directly above the decks. While I can do that with this one, it does not go high enough so I can see and reach under the laptop. I know this really wasn’t the purpose of this stand, but damn would this make a perfect stand for DJing if it went twice as high!

I'm using this to support a beatbox (an NI Maschine 2) over the back of an expensive stage piano keyboard. I wouldn't do this if I distrusted the mechanism or construction - if it fails it could cause real damage. I chose it because of the height range (it can rise higher than many of its competitors) and because the platform angle does NOT adjust, as I thought this would make failure more likely. I also needed the base to be low and even so as to slip under the back of the piano, which this unit does well.Overall fit and finish is good, with no ugly machining or weld marks, so I'm happy with my purchase.Bottom line, it assembled easily, and seems secure, all while looking good too.

Works great for my home office setup. Sturdy, sleek and high quality

My work has large dual monitors on arms and electric stand up desks but I can't stand (disabled due to back injury) so they gave me a chair and told me they were not going to supply a laptop stand as it wasn't in keeping with the corporate image. Well &*&^% the corporate image the laptop was a foot below the other 2 monitors so dragging the mouse across the 3 screens was a stepping nightmare. Bought this and it works great and everyone comments how good it looks and IT is too busy with the corporate merger to do visits so I am good for a while. Thanks Amazon.
