Icon of Modern Design
I chose this clock for my office cubicle and it’s perfect. The clock is easy to read with crisp numerals and well defined hour/minute hands.The design is clean and will be at home in any modern setting. It’s a pleasure to behold and an icon of industrial design.The construction is first rate and includes the battery to boot.Highly recommended.

Perfect for the price
Well made, doesn’t have the feel of cheap plastic. Open face is actually pretty. Silent and accurate time keeping. I like the simple and functional German design. Good clock

Nice clock, pictures could be more clear.
Nice design. However, it isn't completely flat to the wall which I did not expect from the pictures. There is about a 3/4 inch gap between the wall and the back of the face of the clock due to a protruding battery case. Would have been nice to know beforehand but I like it nonetheless.

Poor quality, cheap plastic
I agree with the previous poster. Cheap plastic. I ordered three of these clocks to hang on the wall for a World Clock effect, took one look at the clock and repackaged them all and sent them home. It was as if Braun decided to charge top dollar for a clock that felt like it took pennies to make. The clock face doesn't have a cover, nor did they design it to be flush to the wall, it sticks out 1/2". In this case, paying more (~$60) doesn't get you more...I settled on the on the Seiko Wall Clock Quiet Sweep (QXA393JLH) and it has the class and elegance I was originally looking for.

A surprisingly basic clock from Germany
I was surprised that the face of this clock has no cover, but that's my fault for not reading all of the reviews. Had I known this I would have looked elsewhere. But, I wanted a reliable brand at a decent price and unfortunately had to give Seiko and others a pass. Braun came to mind and so I put my faith in German reliability. I was expecting better quality from Braun, not what turned out to be unsubstantial plastic construction, and out of the box neither of the clocks I ordered started right away. The clocks have no second hands and despite what other reviewers say my clocks make very little noise, definitely no tick tock, not a complaint but it was hard to tell what why the clocks were DOA. But the easiest fix, taking the batteries out and putting them back in, did the trick.A day later and they are both keeping proper time, which is what matters most. So far so good.

Very simple. Was a little smaller than I expected but that was a nice surprise.

Noisy ticking
When I first got this clock, it was silent. However, it gradually started ticking so I got a replacement. The new one also didn't tick at first but is becoming increasingly noisy. It's not a beautiful tick (almost sounds like a dysfunction) and won't blend into background noise. I can't use this clock anymore because it's so noisy in my small room and keeps me awake at night. I tried taking the battery out and in, but the ticking doesn't stop.

I had the ORIGINAL version of this but it was damaged due to a move. I thought I was ordering the same thing but this is JUNK! It ticks which the original never did, it's very plasticy and just feels CHEAP! It may say Braun but it's totally CHINA!

Es un reloj muy bonito y que queda muy bien en el fondo negro de la cocina. No tiene segundero por lo que es totalmente silencioso.

Sie ist offen und man könnte meinen, dass sie sich an den offenen Kanten, Zeigern etc mit Staub zusetzen würde oder unansehnlich werden würde. Aber mit Nichten. Außerdem ist sie leise und ein Ticken nur dann etwas zu vernehmen, wenn der Minutenzeiger sich unten um die 6 bewegt.
