Good Quality and Good for Sprouting
I find these very good quality. They have a fantastic flavour, and fair well boiled and then used in a variety of dishes. I use them often in ful medames - or as close as I get to making it - and in various stews.I have recently taken to sprouting these. It does not say on the packet if these are appropriate for sprouting but the sprouts are just fantastic. I normally fry these off lightly, and they have a lovely sweet flavour, and a starchy, sturdy texture. (Raw sprouts must come from very carefully fertilised seeds or they could come with some very unhealthy bacteria, and can give you a nasty, perhaps even dangerous, bout of food poisoning. I am only saying that I have done this, but please do not mistake this for a recommendation)

Overnight soaking
I love fava beans , I usually boil them until they're soft and add lemon garlic and olive oil to taste, even though I soaked them overnight in water and bicarbonate soda, they still took ages to cook .

Be aware -- very time consuming to prepare
I was very excited about preparing Ful Mesdammes, which I did shortly after receiving these. I had a stomach ache for almost a week after eating them, so I researched how exactly they are supposed to be prepared. Sure enough, I had not prepared them properly--they need to be peeled! If you're up for soaking overnight, then cooking for an hour, cooling, then peeling each bean individually (some pop right out of the skin after cooking, others are a bit more fiddly), go for it! But I found it was 2 hours out of my life that I would rather spend on something a bit more fun or enlightening :)

Early expiry date
Product looks okay but expiry date is May 2023. Unlikely to use 1kg of beans in 5 months. Would not recommend any food company which offers such an early expiry date.

Tiny
Straight in the bin, they are barely the size of peas, useless for the recipe I want them for. They would have to be rehydrated, peeled and split…I would end up with nothing and go blind in the process.
