Very happy with our purchase of this pump. We're using it to transfer water from our spring fed creek to holding tanks for our garden. Fast, efficient, easy to work and super suction. Looks very well made and worth the $$.

Great pump! I used it all last summer to irrigate my lawn and garden from an irrigation ditch. Worked perfectly.

I have been happy with this pump. Used it all summer long on a shallow well. Only thing is unless you have a check valve at the bottom of your well suction line it will bleed off and be necessary to prime every time you use it. I will pull the well head next spring and put one on it, that should take care of that problem. Decent pressure, I rune quite a bit of drip lines off of it and hand water at the same time. Only thing that did not meet up to expectations are the plastic plugs. They strip out with any kind of constant removal. Trying to find some metal ones but it is not standard NPT so not sure where to go with that one. I am going to call Red Lion and see it they have some metal ones available or at least give me specs for thread pitch etc. It should come with metal ones to begin with in my opinion.

It came used, rusted, and broken!!!I followed all the poorly written instructions and did all the proper priming like any other water pump, and it would never pump! It makes the running sound, but the water just sits there.UPDATE:I got my friend that has the same pump take a look at it. He said that it's not spinning the way its supposed to, so we disassembled it to find that,1. The front pipe piece is bend down2. The inside plastic piece was pushed in and fully chipped3. ALL of the insides are completely rusted

the installation manual (pdf) shows an on/off switch. had to buy a separate in-line switch. works great and seems like repair parts are readily available

First thing noticed compared to the last pump (Burcam) is the noise level difference, so quiet. Pumps as it should, 3/4 horse shallow well use, does the job as expected for a fraction of the cost. Wishing we had found RedLion first.

This is a great pump at a great price compared to brick and mortar prices for the same pump. I have experienced none of the issues other reviews complain of. I run this pump off a 2000w generator and have the pump hooked up to a 2000 gallon rain water collection tank. I recommend 1 inch clamshell fittings and an inline filter if using well/rain water.Pressure is fantastic - 50-60 psi and the pump runs much quieter than my other gas powered 1" or 2" pumps. I can run my 4000psi power washer off it with no problem.

Works great, does require priming however. Some of the literature says does not require priming. Good pressure and volume for spinklers. Update. After 1 year of regular use still works perfect.

I bought this item , not sure if it would work. It blows away my 6hp gas pump. it is very silent and works really well! I have a huge yard and it pumps Lake water to water my newly installed lawn. Great product

It says it's a sprinkler pump.Before I go into details, I just say, this pump leaks like a sieve. Does not pump.A lot of different pumps could be used as a sprinkler pump. Can't really tell from the outside, what is in the inside. There is a hint, by the inlet port is not concentric with the pumps shaft, that it is likely a jet pump.There are so-many kinds of jet pump designs/configurations.Well, this pump, has such a small jet orifice and impeller design, a single maple leaf in the water will clog up this pump solid.If you think, that's not a big deal, well, it should not be, but it is.To clear out the clog, the pump needs to be disassembled. Before that, the handle needs to be unbolted, the pump housing needs to be unbolted, and remove it together.If you are planning to pump clear water with no particles, the only issue, this pump is leaking, and does not pump.If you plan to pump some rain water, maybe with some leafs and small twigs, well, this is a sprinkler pump, good luck.I wasted almost two days of my time. Gave up.It is an absolute junk.Buy something else.
