- ✔ British Fava Beans (Faba): Fava Beans have a unique nutty taste and a buttery, silky texture. Fava beans, along with lentils, garbanzo beans, and peas, were among the first cultivated crops (almost 8,000 years ago!). They were a staple in Ancient Greek and Roman diets. They are still quite popular throughout the Mediterranean, as well as in Latin American, Asian, and African cuisines.
- ✔ HIGH-QUALITY INGREDIENTS: Before eating, fava beans should be peeled. While the outer peel of the beans is edible, we recommend peeling it since it has a woody feel that detracts from the interior bean's luscious creaminess. Fava beans, also known as wide beans, lend sumptuousness to foods as diverse as dips, salads, risottos, and pasta when served simply with olive oil, salt, and lemon. Natural, GMO-free British Fava Beans (Faba) are suitable for vegans.
- ✔ INSTRUCTION FOR USE: Fibre-rich protein source. Add to vegetable stews to add texture. To Cook: 1. Rinse beans 2. Soak for 4-6 hours (or overnight). 3. Place in a pot and cover with water above the beans. 4. Boil for 45-60 minutes and ensure that there's always water in the pot. 5. Add more as necessary.
