Replacement Carbon Fiber Rear Side Mirror Cover For VW Volkswagen Golf 7 MK7 MK7.5 Golf R Golf Gti MK7 2013-2018

***UPDATE 8/15/2019***Great customer service...refunded my purchase..thanks again!First off, I'd like to thank Amazon and the vendor for absolute superfast 2-day prime shipping. Out of the box, the pieces look beautiful - mirrored L/R pattern on the carbon grain. I took off the covers to my mirrors of my 2018 Mk7.5 Golf R to compare. The OEMs are lighter plastic which flex to fit. The carbon mirror covers are heaver as they are plastic full cover lined with nice carbon fiber polished to mirror-finish. It has the all four tabs for proper mounting. TNow the problems - because they are carbon, the mirror covers don't flex to fit, which is important, because the LEFT (driver side mirror cover) came out of the box with the inner side of the cover bent too much inside. Also the longer of the two slotted flaps is really flimsy compared to OEM. Combining the overly bent inside and the flimsy flap, I was unable to get the carbon cover on, resulting in the inside slotted flap to crack and be useless.I was thinking maybe I do away with the flap and just double-side tape it on, but that would be impossible as the inner side is bent too far inside and cannot flex out to fit properly..plus I spent $100 so it should be good enough to mount.I after the left side fail, I didn't even bother with the right side or want to take any further chance of damage to my car.This all being said, I'm hoping the customer service is there, reads my review and will offer a refund OR a replacement kit- THAT FITS to compensate me for defective product and to stand by their customer services.

I am totally happy with my purchase after being a bit skeptical with the brand. These look so much better than the plain black ones that came stock on my GTI. The carbon fiber actually shimmers in the sun. The covers fit perfect no issues at all (they are tight as intended). Installation was easy after I did some YouTube research. I would suggest a second person to help with the install just to hold the cover while you align the clips. The install took less than 30 minutes for both. I would defiantly suggest buying these if you are in the market for them.

These look great but are ill-fitting and the weak plastic does not hold up to even a very gentle installation -- one of the tabs broke upon attempted installation (conversely, I put the original mirror cap back on and it fit perfectly with no effort at all). The tab is thicker than on the OEM mirror cap such that when coupled with the imperfect shape of the cap there is too much stress placed on the tab base where it meets the body. This is a regular plastic mirror cap, coated in carbon fiber wrap (which is fine in my opinion), but the overall product is sub-standard quality.Consider other options such as having the original mirror caps wrapped or purchasing OEM caps that have been wrapped (easy search for vendors online).

Fit great and went on like factory. Quality could be a little better.

I have had these 'on' for a few months now. Every few days or so I need to snap them back on because they don't fit. They have actually fallen off several times, and they scratched when they hit the ground. Now they are scuffed and falling off and it's a bad look.I'm afraid they're going to fall off while driving.Very unhappy

Fit great. looks Awesome! Shipping was quick too much faster than the quoted month it was going to take to get here from China. Legit carbon fiber. I wish they would start making more things for my GTI. I'd definitely be first in line.

Within a few months the covers fell off. The were installed by the dealer. It is a complex shape so these aftermarket parts must not be dimensionally the same. Now I have to buy another set of (genuine VW) covers and pay to have them installed. They do look nice.
