High lift for SUV
This works great for our 2020 Lincoln Aviator. The OEM jack actually BROKE when using it! Luckily no damage to the vehicle. This has a wider base and the 24" lift is enough to get the wheels off the ground without needing additional blocks under it. We are just keeping it in the back with the spare tire. One nit-picky thing, though, is that it doesn't fully retract on its own when lowering. So you have to kind of yank it out from under the car and then manually push down on it to get it collapse all the way. But that's common among these hydraulic jacks.

UPDATE... LEAKING (Excellent range, but expensive!)
12/14/2024 UPDATE: Used jack one time, lightly. Walked into my garage the other day and the jack was sitting in a POOL OF OIL! Took a while to figure out where the leak is coming from, but can see that oil is leaking from the threaded portion of where the actuating cylinder (i.e., the part you cycle to extend the jack) is threaded into the jack body. It is about a 1/2" pipe thread near the base of the jack. I am hoping the manuafacturer will see this review and contact me to make it right. Not happy about this and I also have purchased a 5-ton model in the meantime.Original:The versatility of this jack is fantastic! Seems to operate smoothly and be a quality item. "Double Ram" is not really accurate, but that's the world we live in. It is actually a "2-Stage Ram" since one ram is encased inside another. No big deal.... semantics. In operation the larger ram extends first due to laws of physics. This means that until the larger ram is fully extended each pump of the handle results in less lift than when the smaller diameter ram starts lifting. ALL brands of this design operate identically. Alas, this fact also means that once the smaller diameter ram starts lifting it also requires more force per stroke but greater lift per stroke. Get it? Common sense. For me, I have learned to purchase a jack with at least twice (i.e., > double) the capacity than what I actually plan on using it for. Takes more strokes and time, but less force required per stroke. Tradeoffs. Would have rated 5 stars if the price were <$100.

Good Jack
I chose this jack because of the max lift height and capacity. My truck's axles are about 22" above the the ground, so I need a tall jack unless I want to use excessive amounts of blocks (which isn't safe). Truck weight is around 12k pounds empty, 16.5k loaded. So a 12t jack gives a 100% safety margin empty and 50% loaded. This is the tallest 12t+ jack I was able to find. The jack arrived in good condition. Its big and beefy and looks well made. I did a "test lift" of my truck (empty) and it worked just fine. It lifts slowly, but that's to be expected given the high weight capacity.BTW, I used a Safe Jack axle cradle to safely lift the truck. Using a bottle jack with a small round screw pad on top directly on an axle is not a good idea. The Safe Jack 20t "universal lift pad" fits this jack. I still need to get a bigger and thicker base plate to place under the jack for stability and to prevent sinking in soft dirt, and to get a little more lift.

5 ton it really 9.75" tall - But is sure works well.
the stats on the 5 ton jack are not accurate. Its just over an inch taller that is says Its nearly 10 inches tall at the minimum. Its heavy and solid and the 3 part handle is nice. Lifts like a breeze and quickly. Its $125 so more than double the cost of other jacks, but you do get what you pay for. $125 quality, vs some $50 junk jack. I would recommend it if you need a good solid jack reliable jack but remember its actual height is taller than stated. 4 Starts because the measurements are not accurate.

1st jack did not work, but replacement works great
The media could not be loaded. Would not recommend based on first trial. I tried several bleed procedures without luck and reached out for replacement. Will report back if they send a second unit.Update 2 weeks later: another unit was shipped and received. This unit works without even attempting the bleeding procedure. This is the second size jack I purchased from this company and the have many models to meet what I needed.

Great jack for low clearance spaces
The jacks (I bought two) work very well in tight vertical spaces as long as you can place the jack where you can get a good range of motion for the pump lever. If you put the jack too far into a tight space, the pump stroke is limited and the jacking is very slow. Once we learned to keep the pumping apparatus out where it could be worked through its range, our work was done much faster. I am going to try to devise a pump lever with an offset in the handle so that more of the range can be used when the jack is recessed into a tight spapce.

response from seller
You responded saying it is a safety feature that your pump goes down slowly. Perhaps you misunderstood what I was saying about the retraction of the piston. It doesn't go down slowly it doesn't go down at all after it is pushed down by the weight of the car/truck it doesn't go down any further and you have to take the release valve completely off and leak out fluid before it will even move any further. the release value on this is really slow and hard for the piston to get back in the pump. Better pumps go down on their own once the release value is opened. This is not the case with this pump.
