Penhaligon's Opus 1870 Men's Eau de Toilette Spray, 1.7 Ounce

I've worn TOM FORD for several years now. I like the masculine scent that stays with me for hours. And women always seem to compliment me.But I was ready for a change. And I chose Opus 1870 without ever having even sniffed it. Surprising, right?I'm not disappointed in the least. And neither are my girls. It's spicy, sexy and clean while still remaining masculine.And it's from London, just as a side note. Now, I'm an International Man of Scent.

This is good cologne. I can't say I love it for personal taste, but it really is nice from a highly reputable house. This is definitely a starched white shirt, more formal wearing cologne. Quite a lot of pepper and woodsy notes. Silage and projection are quite good. This isn't a monster of a cologne, nor is it for the mallrat crowd. It would do well for someone who likes black pepper and is fairly refined in appearance/demeanor.

I don't know where my boyfriend heard of this but he kept saying he wanted it so i ordered it for him and he absolutely loves it! I must say I like the way it smells on him too! It's very light so it doesn't have that heavy "too much cologne" kind of punch. I'd say women could wear it too!

Opus 1870 is good but it unfortunately is one of those that doesn't sit well on me. It lasts perhaps, on a very good day, 30-45 minutes and then regrettably fades away to nothing. I can never sense any scent from that point forward. Again, it's simply one that doesn't last for me at all. Initially the scent is very nice but that too is quickly overwith. So, it may sit will with most but it's not what I would recommend at all.

Just as I hoped it would be. Great product at a good price, delivered on time, and in terrific condition. Perfect!

Smelled it at The Art of Shaving store and knew immediately that it was a staple scent for me. It reminds me of Viktor & Rolff Spice Bomb but a touch lighter. Good for the office.

Nice scent for an older man, not so much for a young one. The cedar scent is very overpowering.

Nice fragrance and arrived quickly. The plastic ring that is supposed to hold the cap on the bottle does not stay in position, which allows the cap to not stay latched.. looks like a manuf design flaw and not the fault of the seller

Habe dieses Produkt gekauft, nach dem ich es als Probe mal getestet habe. Riecht sehr angenehm ohne aufdringlich zu sein, und ist kein Duft den man schnell über hat. Ich denke ich werde viele Jahre meine Freude dran haben.

Molto soddisfatta, prodotto originale, sigillato, prezzo competitivo. Come ha già detto un altro utente il tappo non sta appoggiato bene, ma questo e un problema della casa madre non del rivenditore. Consigliato per chi ama questo profumo, che e buonissimo!!!!

Penhaligon's fragrances look incredible, and that's what drew me to the brand in the first place. I purchased the small tin of tester vials off Amazon for myself and my husband's wedding as we both wanted a new scent (you get half women and half men's fragrances to try in the tin). This one was what he chose to wear on our wedding day, and it's just gorgeous. Slightly spicy but like nothing you've smelled before, it's so unique and warm yet has a fresh twist to it. Whenever he wears it I can't help but close my eyes and just inhale the smell of his skin, it's divine! The description fits perfectly to the scent "Opus 1870 is wonderfully warm and comforting, a fragrance to wrap yourself in on cold winter nights." It has a sort of reminiscent feel to it, something you can't quite put your finger on, but perhaps, imagine yourself back in 1870, involved in the celebrations around Christmas time, where candles burned everywhere, festive treats and feasts galore and cosy, mulled wine nights by the fire. There's such a delightful feeling about the smell of it, it's delicious and is now one of my husbands favourites.
