Scott Drake ACC-16741-65 Cowl Cover

I bought this as a replacement for the Cowl Cover that cracking and fading on a 1965 Mustang I'm helping to restore. Turned out to be a perfect fit and was easy to install. The low price was also a plus!

Excellent quality

The instructions that I needed a coin to put it on but I think that might have been an old style. This was the easiest thing I put on this car. Just had to push down and turn the knob and make sure that it doesn't hit your paint other than that it was easy as could be took about 2 minutes

Great cowl cover and fast shipping. My mustang was leaking bad through the cowl due to rust. This definitely helped to keep the water out. Easy to install and solid seal.

So I wanted to do a 2 star review. But this piece is very much needed for my leaky 65. On the plus side. It shipped very quickly! Has no damage. And fit good. On the down side. Mine was different than the one pictured in that the push lock pins on mine a huge knurled aluminum knobs that stick up over an inch when compressed and are 3/4 of an inch round. Aka huge eyesore the one pictured has the flat pins that you lock with a coin. Much much nicer. Also to note the pin springs are very strong to the point that a few of my vents are raised up a bit almost bent in a way. Border line bowed. Not noticeable unless your looking for it. Unlike the knurled knobs that you can see from mars. I would recommend using a lot thinner gasket material and slim line pins would look much better also mine hits the wiper arm mount not a big deal but a notch would nice to clear it. This cowl cover is a Great idea! With good potential. Unfortunately this one is pretty home made looking. Still a must have! That's why it gets 4 stars. I don't want to give someone a reason to not buy it! As ugly as it is..... It keeps water out of our cars and looks better than tape!

Cover does what it should.Paid Big money on body work only to find the drain holes were covered over, water had nowhere to go but inside car..This Cover eliminates the problem..Took one minute to install..
