Fabulous! Good for revision!
I love how they have setup and structured this book, with nice examples on how to answer questions, I also love how CGP has included exam questions after each Unit/Topic!

Good reference for secondary maths
I was looking for a reference book that contains all you need to know about secondary mathematics. I am a maths teacher in Finland, not working on UK curriculum and my language of instruction is not English either, but I want to get some ideas from other educational systems. This book is organised into 35 sections or topics, and each one ends with one page of "exam-style questions". All theory is explained very briefly which is nice if all you want to know is what is meant by this or that concept. If you should require longer explanations to some finer details, perhaps a different type of textbook addresses that need.

Clear, fully paid out answers at back.
Bought it to use as a spine for teaching my kids Maths GCSE and I like the clarity of the book, the detail, and the fully worked out, laid out answers to every practice question in the book, at the back. In terms of practice, I don't think this provides enough scope, for which other resources would be needed (and I have used), but I think this would work well for someone who wants to self study for the GCSE, bearing in mind they should not solely rely on this book if they are aiming for a grade 8 or 9. I've seen Pearson textbooks and greatly preferred the layout and font of this one to the Pearson ones. Thankfully, this is unlike other CGP books I've bought in the past which were full of distracting cartoony graphics and comic sans type font. This is a proper textbook, worthy of any classroom. CGP produces another Maths GCSE textbook which isn't exam board-specific and has a sort of maroon-coloured book cover. I had a look at that one, but it lacks some of what this book has. I don't mind just settling for the Edexcel GCSE spec because this textbook is good and I'm confident using it. P.S. I spotted an error in the textbook's teaching of significant figures. It teaches that the first significant figure is the first non-zero digit, and all digits that follow that are also significant figures, regardless of whether they are zeros or not. This is the wrong advice. For example, in the number 38500, there are actually 3 significant figures here, but if you followed this textbook's advice, you'd think it is 5 significant figures. Fortunately, the worked answers to the exercises in the book don't follow this bad advice.

A work book to use as an excellent teaching resource
An excellent pupil book with all GCSE topics covered at higher level. This is not a “revision guide” but a book to teach from. I use it to teach my two grandchildren. The exam style questions at the end of each topic are particularly useful.

Nice book overall. Dissatisfied with the online edition not working at all.
Great book that covers every topic very thoroughly from the very basic to more complex questions. Lots of Exercises and exam style questions. One of the best things about this book is how the answers are laid out at the back of the book. The working out is shown for answers and the answers have reference to page numbers and exercise numbers from which the questions come from. Very easy to navigate. For me it did not come with the included free online edition but the book itself was worth the price but that would be the only thing I was not happy with.
