Steady the hand. 2
Worked great! I only used it on one set of heads so I can't comment on longevity. But I can say it will last longer the better you know how to use this stuff. :)

AWESOME!!
First time cutting valve guides for a 454 I’m building and this tool made it a breeze ! Pricy for a one time use but machine shop might even be more , great tool to own for future projects! Super sharp and used with my dewalt drill , no problem! Make sure you purchase the valve guide!

only diameter not height
Easy and fast cut the only thing that didnt like me is that it only cut the steam valve diameter and for the height dont work but it works fine.

Does not cut to advertised stem size
Did not cut as advertised, it cut .524 not .530. Combined with valve stem seal larger then advertised, the fit is far too loose

Took a while but cheaper than machine shop
Used these to cut down valve guides on Vortec heads to get more valve seal clearance for larger cam. Took some time to get them all cut down but better than taking the heads to a machine shop. Definitely use slow drill setting as spinning too fast will heat things up too much. I used a paint marker so all guides were cut about the same height, and a shop vac to suck up the shavings every few minutes.

tool worked well, the trick was to apply moderate pressure and a very slow drill speed for a smooth and even cut.

There was a chip in the cutting surface. As you can see in the picture near the pointer. I was pressed for time had to finish customers heads I used the cutter anyway. Not happy with the product.
