Chef Craft Select Can Opener with Tapper, 6.5 inches in length, Nickle Plated

"Best thing since sliced bread" is how i describe this can opener. I have bought many different types of can openers over the years (safety-no sharp edge can openers, easy use can openers for people with mobility issues..etc) and this can opener wins over ALL of the others! It is simple, easy to turn the key part..and it doesn't have a sharp edge cutter--yet it does a GREAT job cutting through the can lid and getting the job done. You also have a Tapper-for tapping on jars to open them & another type of can opener-for juice cans--right on the ends of this opener. The price is MORE than right, so it is worth a try.....I think you will love it..easy clean up too!

Sometimes the old ways are the best ways. I’ve had electric can openers over the years, as well as fancy hand held ones from Kitchen Aid, Rubbermaid, XO, etc., and at some point, these expensive devices eventually become misaligned or the blade gets dull. This simple, basic can opener, just like my grandma used to have, has never let me down. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

This can opener opens cans without effort. Handles are comfortable in the hand. I'd say it's durable and I expect to get years of use from it. The finish is chrome plated, least seems to be. The price was great, not overly expensive. I don't expect any rust to form on it due to the finish. Very stable. I'm happy with it. Great buy.

I want to give this 5*. It works well enough & I have been looking for years for this style of can opener. It just works. It is a little harder to turn, but it never skips any part of the lid. Having a liquid pour end is great for draining & makes this more versatile than other can openers. Unfortunately it doesn't fit my hand. The ones I grew up with were about an inch longer & resulted in better leverage. I would love to buy one that is longer for the house & keep this one in my camper. Even still, it opens the cans without leaving frustrating bits that did not get cut. Much easier to clean than the circle blades. Being all chrome just looks good. As long as you can turn the knob, it is easy to use. It would be great if this was 1.5" longer on each handle & if the knob was 0.5" longer in total for better leverage on both.

Great product, gets the job done! I love the little extra tool of the built-in bottle opener.

It arrived with a dark/maybe rusted spot on the backside of the opener that you couldn’t see until taken out of the package. Wasn’t expecting that before even using it

This is a very basic can/bottle opener, it works extremely well. It is well made and well priced.

Disappointed with the item. Very flimsy and light. Chinese made item appears like cheap product found in dollar shops. Certainly not worth what they cost.

I've been looking for a can opener that is all metal, and this one fit the bill. I find plastic ones break easily. This one is simple and reliable, and I'm sure will last a long time.
