I use this handy device to switch off an extension cord that operates a couple of heating pads for feral cats. These pads don't have their own on/off switches and it's a nuisance to have to unplug them when they aren't needed. With this switch I can just turn them off when the weather is warm enough and on when it's colder. The only drawback is that its size and the fact that it is 3-pronged means it will not fit in certain outlets. So you might want to evaluate exactly where you want it and make sure it will fit.

I like that it can handle a high amperage. Also, plugs slide in and out of it quite easily, which is what makes it good quality.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. I have a duplex wall-plate that has both a light switch and two power plug receptacles on it. Plugging this Leviton device into one of the power plug receptacles allows me to control a corded light from the same location as the other light controlled by the switch. No longer am I forced to manually go to the light to turn it on.Probably the only thing I would change is to reverse the position of the switch. In the photo, the switch is actually in the off position.

I bought this for my 2 year old Samsung Blu-Ray player in my bedroom. It's software is buggy and has a habit of not playing DVDs or Blu-Rays, unless I reboot it. It Also hangs up, requiring rebooting. Rather than turning off power on the power strip, which turns everything off and causes some electronics to reset or unplugging, which is a pain and wears down the receptacle, I can now easily switch off just the Samsung Blu-Ray player.
