Collars work fine out of the box, but I do have a few issues for a higher end collar.1. On/Off button is very weird and most of the time requires a hard, direct, and long press in order to turn on and off. If your finger slips while turning it off it's very easy to turn on bark mode which in turn makes the remote no longer function with the collar.2. The beeping sound is extremely low, in a loud situation there is no way I and in turn my dogs could hear the beep which would have to resort in an instant vibrate or shock. It doesn't aid in teaching properly.3. The remote offers less information than any other electric collar I've owned. It allows you to switch channels to collars that aren't linked. It doesn't provide any battery information on the collar or the remote itself. The buttons themselves are fine and aren't sensitive enough to accidentally shock (good) as some of the other remotes that I've used.Otherwise it's a good collar, if you don't need waterproofing than the petsmart collar is probably a better fit. Or if you have a long haired dog (these prongs are one of the few to actually work on my Shepard mix.

I am very pleased with these collars. I train my dogs for many various tasks, service, search and rescue, hunting, and lots of fun tricks and activities. These collars have given me some great new abilities in my training processes. The range is pretty good, better I find when you are training within 1/2 mile mainly because by the time they are out that far, it's just difficult to realistically exert much control if they really want to go somewhere or do something, and they can be beyond the range very quickly. I keep them fairly close, especially until I have more control through means other than the collar because I only want to use the collar as a last resort in that scenario. I find some dogs will do great with a collar on and then ignore you when it isn't on if you overuse the collar, especially as a punishment mechanism. With these collars I have the ability to let the dogs know when they are on the right track with the bell feature, kind of like "clicker training" but from a distance. What I like best about these collars is that I can adjust the level of vibration/shock and use only enough to guide the dog to the desired behaviors through adjusting the level of vibration. I work several dogs at a time and having one controller that is easily switched between each dog is very efficient too. The collars being waterproof is awesome too, as we are surrounded by irrigation ditches and we also have a large pond on the property. My dogs (Standard Poodles) love the water, especially on these hot summer days, so it is almost impossible to keep them out of it once they get hot and thirsty. So far the collars have worked perfectly after coming out of the water. Time will tell as far as how they hold up but they seem very sturdy and well built. I also like the ability to turn both the transmitter and the collar receivers on and off because ultimately it saves the battery wear and reduces the need to recharge all the time which will accelerate the need for battery replacement.Last but not least, the customer service is noted as "World Class" in the product description and I agree 200%. I had a little trouble synching the collars with the transmitter when I first received them but because I had already received an email from the Managing Director before I had even received the collars, all I had to do was "Reply" to him and he responded almost immediately and solved my problem! He checked back and answered every question I had perfectly and in record time and made me feel very valued."World Class" customer service is very accurate and quality collars that do what they are said to do has thus far been my experience with the Pet Resolve Company. I appreciate them greatly and I highly recommend them and this product.

When I first started looking at shock collars a few years ago I had no clue what I was needing. I decided to try this brand out and see what happened. This was in 2016. Nearly 3 years ago. At the time I only needed 2 collars but liked the idea of being able to add a 3rd if I decided I wanted to later on. These collars worked great! The dogs are 70 & 80 lbs and they play and run HARD! These collars never budged. Their quality is top notch! I can say this because after 2 hard years of daily use the batteries are just now starting to wear down. But that’s the only thing that has happened.When we moved to town we knew our country dogs were gonna need boundaries like they’ve never known before. So we ordered a new set. All 3 pups got new collars and these work as well as the first set.I have to add that I love all the new features!!! About the time I didn’t think these collars could get any better, they did! I love the material the add on collars are made out of. I just wish they came in different colors. Having 2 blue collars and one black is a little confusing sometimes. But like always I have figured out a way around that :) The other big new feature is the vibrate option! THANK YOU!!! I have a smaller dog that I don’t want to shock, but I need to sometimes get his attention and the vibrate works so well! Even on the big dogs!! I feel much better about using these collars now! I loved the original set (with the orange on the remote) but these new ones (blue) are so great! Again, my only suggestion would be to offer other colors for the add on collars.Thank you for creating a well made yet affordable product that delivers every single time! Amazing product. I cannot rave about this set enough!!
