Walnut Hollow Unfinished Wood Rounded Trunk Box with Hinged Lid for Arts, Crafts, Hobbies and Home Decor

It is a bit smaller then I wanted . However it is very well made. and was perfect for using a wood burner on.once the design was drawn onto the box. It took the wood burning art very nicely. after the art work I stained it a golden oak. and when dry I waxed ity. It looks wonderful. It is now a candy box for my fiance.

The basswood trunk measures 6" long, 3 5/8" wide and at the peak 3" high, space inside measures 2 1/2" deep, 5 1/2" long and 3" wide, the inside lid is flat. It is very nice, and exactly what I was looking for; however if you just want a generic unfinished wooden box, look in your local craft store as the prices will be better for the same quality.

I'm going use this for a dice game, it holds the 5 dice with plenty of space to shake. I lined it with felt to quiet the box a bit.

I inscribed each box with our grandchildren's name and date of birth, using a woodburning kit for their Christmas presents. I also fastened a small music box inside each. the 4 boxes arrived quickly, safely and were the perfect size and shape for this project. The wood is soft (good for carving and burning) but shows some nice grain and varying coloration. i applied one coat of natural varnish to bring out the wood colors and protect the surface. compared with wooden boxes that could be purchased at Michael's, these are much nicer.

Comically smaller than I imagined, even though the dimensions are specified. Not even large enough to store collectable banknotes, which is why I purchased it. Good for index cards, I guess.

I used one of these to make a dice box for my DND playing brother and sister in law. Stained the inside and outside with some Walnut stain. Ended up looking great. There's only a few areas where I could see the wood glue, but otherwise it's a great product.

Well made and constructed. It needed very little prep before I stained it. I cut a slot in the top to make it a bank. The wood is soft enough to get through it with a dremel and a X-acto knife. The top is extremely thick, so it was a blessing that it was a softer wood. My project turned out better than I expected. Quite pleased with this product. I will definitely purchase again. Arrived on time.

It's nice when cheap unfinished project boxes like these come with hinges you cannot remove. Makes doing all the finish work real fun.

Met my expectations for an unfinished item. Looks beautiful after 15 coats of tung oil.

Smaller than I thought. Expensive for such a small product.

Smaller than I expected, but thats my fault for not checking the measurements properly.Its still a quality product and I’m gonna use it anyway :)
