Great Watch Winder
I actually have 2 of these and they are great. I purchased 1several years ago, and another last year. I guess this would be considered an entry level watch winder, but I'm really happy with the quality. It has 3 basic functions; on/off, 12 hour delay, and rotation direction. When it's on, the winder operates on a timer, and the rotating mechanism will run for a certain amount of time and then turn itself off to prevent over-winding the watch. I have it on whenever the watch is in there, and it keeps the watch wound with no issues. The winder is extremely quiet and reliable, and can handle most watch sizes and weights. I have 1 timepiece that I only wear for special occasions. It's a large (48mm), heavy chronograph. It's in the winder for months at a time, with the winder always in the 'on' position. It keeps the watch wound whenever I decide to wear it, and has been problem free for the last several years. I use the other winder for my daily work watch. I can put the watch in before bed, turn on the winder, and have a full power reserve by morning. The outside material seems to be an imitation leather, but it doesn't look overly cheap. I have not had any issues with the material ripping or coming loose. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a well-built, no-frills winder.

The packaging and the shipment box is like it was coming from a fine European company.
This is my first Wolf winder. I am totally impressed. Very well made to the last detail. The only way to tell it is on is when the light blinks. Other than that it is completely quiet. The packaging and the shipment box is like it was coming from Italy. Nicely packaged and enclosed with a cloth bag. The timers and the ability to change the direction of the rotation or to have winder do it automatically shows how well thought out it is. The electronics within the winder are of the highest quality, as it is reliable, durable, and efficient. An example of its efficiency, in the four years of use, 24/7, with battery use only I have only changed the batteries twice. I have no reservations of purchasing any product from Wolf. On a side note, I wanted to purchase extra winder cuffs and had a question about size. I emailed their customer service and received a response within two (2) hours, which by todays standard is unheard of. I ordered them and received a shipping notification the next day and the product by the end of the week. This was with standard shipping. Wolf is a model company for what every company should be.

Works great!
Well, now that I finally figured out how it works, thanks to another owner who sent me a short personal video demonstration (thanks, Eric!), I really like it a lot. I just put my watch in the machine at night, set the dial to "On" and let it wind the watch by slowly and gently rotating. My only complaint is that it's not very intuitive. In other words, when you receive it, you can't just look at it and say, "Oh, I see how that works." In fact, at first glance, it appears you open the glass door, and place your watch around the two plastic handles on each side of the circle. But that won't work. Unless you're Hulk Hogan, and have wrists the size of a soft ball, and a large watch band to match, your watch band won't fit around those handles. What you do, instead, is grab the two handles and pull forward. This releases a small, soft, pillow-like object out of the center of the hole in the machine. You then wrap your watch around that "pillow" and stick the pillow back into the hole so that you can see the face of the watch through the glass door when it's shut. But before you shut the door, you turn the knob on the right to the "on" position. Then shut the door. In about ten seconds the machine slowly starts rotating your watch, which in turn winds the kinetic movement inside the watch. And it works like a charm. But the seller really should put a short video on the page to show potential customers how truly easy it is to open the glass door, remove the pillow from the center hole, place your watch band around the pillow and stick the pillow back in the hole before turning the knob to the "on" position and shutting the glass door. It's super-simple. Takes only a few seconds. But not at all intuitive. You really need someone to show you how to do it. And simple video would do the trick. Anyway, I've only had the machine for about a week now, but it's working great and my watch is staying wound throughout the day without me having to sit there shaking it back and forth physically to wind it for 10 or 15 minutes at a time. The machine works great and I'm very happy with it.

You Get What You Pay For
After getting a high end automatic watch for Christmas, I bought a cheap plastic winder to keep in running. The plastic winder worked pretty well at first, but started becoming noisy and then the motor eventually failed after less than a year. So after doing some research I discovered that Orbita and Wolf Designs watchwinders are pretty much the top of the line in watchwinders. Although this model was four times the cost of my plastic winder, it is clearly worth it. The real leather outside finish, and stainless steel motot controls, are rich and beautiful; and the motor is totally silent and has no obnoxious lights. It looks great and does its job superbly. Wolf has legendary great customer service, so I have no worries about this unit quietly winding my watches for many years to come. Don't make the same mistake I made and buy a cheaper unit. Go with quality first as it will cost you less in the long run. I highly recommend this winder.

You get what you pay for
First let me start by saying I love these winders. Very elegant and quiet. I did however have some problems. The first one I got the hinge was broken (maybe during Shipping)contacted amazon got a replacement. I've had that replacement for a year and a half. Then I stated noticing that the winder was making more noise than usual. I contacted customer service via email. They asked me to take a video of the winder. I did and sent it in. The next day I got a. Prepaid lable to send it back and they were going to replace it. The whole process took about 10 days. However I have a new winder and I couldn't be happier. This company stands by their product. If your going to buy a higher end wonder do not hesitate to get a wolf.

Great product and dead silent operation...a bit on the bulky side, it does take up a lot of space but works flawlessly
I've had various winders and all mostly did the job but were generally cheap and poor quality and ultimately stopped working much sooner than should have been expected. I wasn't sure about buying either the wolf or another one of similar reputation and cost. I tried both and this was the winner, the other was just behind it. I thought the other was a better fit / shape, but I could hear it running while the wolf is silent on battery or with the included cord. I don't like how big (depth) that this winder is. It's huge and certainly more of a closet item than a for a dresser or night stand. But it works flawlessly and quality from packaging to the actual product does justify the higher cost of wolf products. Seems like at this price point, there would be demand for the same product covered in actual leather vs whatever is covered with now which does simulate smooth leather Although that would likely double the cost, an option to consider would be nice. Haven't had a dead watch on Monday morning since getting this. Will order another version to store 4 total watches due to the need to properly store expensive self winding watches; no cost savings which is disappointing, but smaller footprint. All around a high quality product and dead silent operation. Only reason for not a 5 star home run is this is a large product, much bigger than it seems it need to be, but I placed priority on functionality over aesthetics. Wish I'd looked for these years ago. The price is nominal when compared to costs of watches and servicing of those watches.

Five Stars With Good and Bad
The Wolf Herotage 2.1 Watch Winder is very nice. I have only had it for about a week but so far so good. I have my Bulova Snorkle 666 Devil Diver on the winder and it has been working great. Want to give it a test ride before putting on my Girard Perregaux watch on the winder. The good is that it is very very quite and it has a 12 hour start delay which you can use when you wear your watch all day. The bad is it only have 900 TPD (Turns Per Day) or 1800 if you select bi-directional. A winder at this price point should let you select the number of TPD. The quality is pretty good but not perfect now that it is built in Red China. Most people would be very happy with the quality. If you want one built in the good old US of A you will have to spend a small fortune and buy an Orbital Winder. All in all I am pretty picky and I still have this Wolf Winder five starts. Good luck. Wrong watch winder for Omega - Discontinued on Wolf website
I bought this watch winder before I purchased my first Omega automatic watch. I was quite new to the world of watches and I thought this one would be better than most. I was wrong and right. Wolf is the best value for the money when it comes to watch winders, but this model is more than useless for almost all premium watches. The reason is simple - no way to set the number of rotations, beyond 900 unidirectional and 1800 bi-directional. This is far more than Omega recommends for the majority of their watches, which max out at 720 rotations (bi-directional) a day. This watch winder's setting is over 2.5 times the recommended, which according to Omega, leads to a watch not being wound correctly, damage to the internal winding spring and mechanisms. My personal experience is that this winder doesn't wind high-end Omega watches well at all. I used this with my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean with 8906 caliber, and my Seamaster with 8800 caliber movement, only to find that their reserve power was around half of what what it should have been (normally 60 hours with 8906, and 56 hours with 8800). I thought I would experiment with this winder while I was learning about winders in general, and since I already had it. In the meantime, I had bought both of my new Omega watches within a couple weeks of each other and I was waiting for my Wolf Viceroy winders to come in. I was able to set the new Viceroy winders to 350 bi-directional rotations per day, and I quickly discovered that both watches were performing up to specs, with normal reserve times and both were keeping excellent time. If you want to see what Omega recommends and why this watch winder will certainly damage your $3000 to $20,000 + watch, simply Google-Omega FAQ-watch_winder_EN.pdf

You could buy a good watch for this price but it is a quality winder does a great job quietly
I recently purchased an automatic watch that only wound in a clockwise direction, I have a few others that wound rotated in both directions and use cheaper winders to keep them wound, As my new watch was not exactly cheap and winder requirements were specified I took the plunge in this purchase. This is undoubtedly a quality winding instrument. The watch sits vertically in the box so maximises the movement of the watches winding weight, It can be set to clockwise, counter clockwise or bidirectional. It even has a 12 hour wait before winding starts that is useful after an energetic day when the watch may well be fully wound. The watch holder is flexible enough to adapt to different sizes and uses the outer collar of the watch holder to clip into the rotating barrel. All very simple but very well executed. I purchased this brand having owned a twin turntable non adjustable version for other bidirectional winding watches that uses a similar vertical winding barrel system. In summary it does the job intends very well.

Amazing product, great quality and delivers on what is promised.
Great product! Wonderful packaging, easy to setup and started to make use of it immediately. We have been using it for several weeks now without any issues. It is a relatively pricey item but worth the spend given the quality of the product and the fact that you want the assurance your most priced watch possessions are being properly wound. We would definitely buy from them again.

Super silencieux
Le produit respire la qualité et il est très silencieux contrairement aux autres produits de ce genre. Cela peut paraître cher, mais la qualité est réellement au rendez-vous
