The fan speed of the fan cannot be adjusted.

Q: Anyone know how I could convert this to a usb connection?

You can't. Usb uses 5vdc and these fans are 12vdc. I hate these fans because they don't work at all with voltages under 11vdc.

You tried both fans? Doubt both dead. Find a wall adapter rated for 9vDC to 12vDC and connect it up. Or can measure the resistance between the black and red wires, should be less than 50 ohms. Also if these are blower fans (vs. hot-end) on the CR10 the first few layers may not be calling for cooling.

no, jdh9733 is a bigger size, it should be 97mm fan
