Got this a few months ago and it has been working great. Supports my alien bee and beauty dish. I would purchase this again. Would recommend.

I use this for all of my shoots , but need to put proper counter weight .

Be prepared (have tools such as hex set and wrenches) to disassemble boom stand attachment assembly, then reassemble assembly correctly before you can use this product. Clearly an assembly quality control issue - stand attachment assembly put on backwards in China. NY customer service didn’t seem to care. All in all, my most frustrating photo/grip purchase in 5 decades as a professional. Patience is recommended; other than that, product seems well made once rebuilt.

I have not had a chance to weight it down just yet but the boom seems to be durable and able to handle the recommended weights. The mid range star comes from the design of the mount. Though mounts to a pin the receiver is shallow. I much prefer the receiver mount, look and tightener on the Avenger D600 which is just a few dollars more.

Sturdy, heavy and strong, however a HEAVY DUTY stan is a must with counter weight bags. Arrived today. Can't wait to setup and use withBowens Gemini 500.

Nice quality. I use it for lighting interviews. It reaches out far enough to keep the stand out of frame.
