This review originally appeared on herestohappyendings.comI'm going to honestly say that I have never heard of the Cotton + Steel company prior to this coloring book, so I didn't know that it was an awesome company that designed really cool fabrics until after I had looked through this book and wanted to learn more about them. I'm not all that crafty, so I wouldn't have a reason to purchase fabrics for much, but looking at some of their prints kind of makes me wish I was!Anyway, the Cotton + Steel Coloring Book is a nifty coloring book full of random, cute, and whimsical designs that are incredibly fun and will definitely make you smile. If you're having a bad day, come home, pick up some colored pencils, and choose a design out of this book - you'll be feeling much better before you know it!Some of the designs are sure to bring out your inner child, and are sure to add a little bit of joy to your day as you color. Even just looking through this book will make you happy, because there is just so much here...so many different designs, patterns, and illustrations! The designs are printed on one side of the page, which is awesome if you like coloring with markers, gel pens, or watercolors. While the paper in this book is kind of thin, putting another sheet of paper between the design you're coloring and the next page will be just fine to protect against bleeding if you're using markers, pens, or watercolors. Colored pencil users don't have to worry about that, as the paper is nice to color on and since it's smooth, it allows for blending and easy coloring. Some of the illustrations in the book allow you to add your own personal touch to the design - which is really neat and is great for those who are really creative.Along with the awesome quirky illustrations, you will also find some neat retro designs, like telephones and typewriters, that you can't help but just love! There are so many things to choose from in this book - there is definitely something here for everyone! This is an awesome coloring book - sure to put a smile on your face and become one of your favorites!Note: I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Beautiful, just like the fabric lines they carry
Beautiful, just like the fabric lines they carry. This was for a gift so I didn't get the pleasure of coloring it myself. Recipient was super happy.

Barely mediocre at best. I had high hopes because I'm a fan of their fabric but I should have remembered that their fabric isn't exactly full of images that would be good for a coloring book. The images that aren't from their fabric line are even more boring and uninspiring. I liked 4 pages out of this book. Huge disappointment. I'd return it but I don't want to be charged high return shipping for an inexpensive book to begin with. I do not recommend this coloring book to anyone.

Not your average coloring book...in a good way
Lots of variety, fun designs! Cute animals, geometric motifs, snow globes, vintage ladies...If you are looking for flowers and leaves, you'll find very little of that in this coloring book. I've tried several of the adult coloring books and I tend to get bored with overly detailed designs. This book has 75 coloring pages with lots of variety, from very intricate to sparse designs you can add your own details to. This is a fun coloring book to get your creativity flowing!

GREAT Coloring book!!
LUV this coloring book!!! It's different than most in that the images reflect the fabric lines from Cotton & Steel, but in a great way! It gives me plenty of space to be creative while also enjoying some of my favorite fabric lines. A definite must if you like to color, love Cotton & Steel fabric, and have a crazy desire to be creative while also having some structure!!

A bit disappointed with this book - paper is a little thin
A bit disappointed with this book - paper is a little thin, with some ink bleed-through. There are a wide selection of images, based on the cotton and steel fabric collections. some of the images do not lend themselves well to being coloured though - the details are just too fine, or the design just doesn't work especially well on paper. Overall the book does not feel like a cohesive set of images. )
