Sunon MagLev Fan for Select Dell Laptops (GB0507PGV1-A)

Installing it was not as tough as I thought. Got some great help from a couple of youtube do it yourself postings.

The Dell brand fan was hella expensive. This one fit right in very nicely and months later still works just fine. I'm happy with it.

From the description, I was expecting new units. From the price, I wasn't betting on it. What I got were pulls from old equipment. One of the two was at least fairly clean. The other was pretty dusty. My suspicions that they would turn out to be pulls is what caused me to order two. They both seem to work, OK. It turned out that all my original fan needed was some cleaning, so the two I bought are sitting, waiting for the original to fail.

This fan does fit in the Dell Latitude D630 correctly, however it is not compaitble with it. After first taking apart the laptop to take out the old fan (which requires almost a full strip down of the laptop), I placed this fan in hoping that it would be in working order. I put the whole laptop back together, the fan revs up, revs down, revs up etc. I'm not just referring to post, it does the revving while on the desktop (which im using Windows) and during anytime the pc is on that revving just continues. Now i didn't have it running long at all since i didn't want to overheat any of the components. It revs up for a split second, then shuts off and repeats, not long at all to keep any of the components cooled down obviously. Hopefully anyone who decides to buy this reads my review as it well save time, and a headache of stripping down the pc, putting it back together and stripping it back down once again because the fan doesn't work. Shipping was fast due to amazon, i'm thankful that i decided to go with amazon because returning it could have cost me probably about the whole price of the product.

Works as expected. However, after I complete the part replacement I realized that the fan is working so much, so I just ordered a set of thermal compound and I also ordered a new no-name battery. My laptop is 6+ years old so I hope the thermal compound fix the overheating issue.

Dell 630 laptop. Computer disassembled to install fan. Major Job. New artic ice used on the CPU & GPU. The fan will not run at a steady speed. Fan Surges up and down at a slow cycle.I will have to spend another hour to put the original fan back in the laptop!!Good Luck!!!!

The fan on my Dell D630 went bad. I purchased this fan and it fits with no issues. The shipping was surprisingly fast given that this item was not from Amazon. I am satisfied with this fan.

This fan "part number" matched the one in my Gateway P-6860FX, however the fan housing did not fill the original space. I have not marked it down for that- the fan functioned just fine. However it should be noted that the Part number can be misleading, and does not provide any indication that it is the correct unit.
