Connecticut Electric UBIP-240 Newly Manufactured Pushmatic P240 Replacement, Two Pole 40 Amp Circuit Breaker, Gray

I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Product was easy to install and works as promised. Can't say the same for Amazon shipping. Breaker was ordered because of failure of old breaker and was needed ASAP. Amazon promised next day delivery and I purchased it even though there were other less expensive alternatives listed. Item "was delayed" and delivery took two days. For a long period of time they could not give an update on when the delivery would take place. Circuit breaker was shipped in the simple Amazon vinyl envelope with no protection for the item. There was an insulator broken off [not critical for the install] and the attachment screw for one of the terminals was missing. Had to go to the hardware store for another in order to complete the installation.

Ordered (2) breakers. One came with all screws; other missing one screw. And the screw was not a standard size that could use the screw from the replaced breaker. Very annoying.Other than that all good.

Missing both terminal screws (Delayed job while waiting for replacement. Replacement arrived with one missing screw too!) other than that, it fits perfectly and works great.

Nothing to dislike about it. It was what I needed to install a heater in my garage.

I really wish that I knew that I would need to scavenge for a much-needed part so that I could install this thing. The terminal block screws did not come with the breaker. The holes are different sizes than the original breaker's. This is turning a 5 minute job into a 5 day job. It's dark when I get home from work. Maybe we can use the oven next week.

I was kind of worried about the replacement process because I have been hearing so much negativity about this style. It took all of 3 minutes and fit perfectly.

I was glad to find a breaker for my old fashioned “Push-o-matic” panel. Kinda pricey, but saved having to spend a thousand bucks replacing the panel and breakers with something modern. Not in the budget this year. Instead, I popped this one in and had my garage heater wired in in no time, for a relative handful of dollars. My original breakers are getting weak and I was afraid I’d be commited to replacing the panel soon, but having found this source of Pushmatics, I think I can relax for a few more years.
