What i received is Hipshot SKU: 20650B which is a USA made version and fit well on an NS WAV4 (electric upright) though the hole they fit into is a bit snug (very minor filing may be needed). Regardless of instrument, when installing, I suggest putting a *small* amount of light oil on the tuner shaft, the nuts and gears.As compared to the Gotoh clones they replaced: The pegs are very slightly longer (2-3mm) which is not a problem for the NS (puts the A/D strings on a straighter path to the nut). The portion of the pegs where the string wraps is slightly larger in diameter which I believe leads to better tune stability (less drift). Generally, they tune more precisely/easily, can be easily lubricated, disassembled for service as needed and also don't buzz when correctly installed. They are *not* inexpensive.These are very slightly lighter than some other tuners but even on 6-string with a 35" scale neck I seriously doubt that you could tell in a double-blind test. What counts is that they are far better tuners. If neck dive is really a problem consider playing an upright (no neck dive and they sound better).Amazon always ships promptly.

I bought a brand new Spector Dimension 5 string. For a bass costing over $2,000, they come with some cheap tuners. I put 4 of these on and a Hipshot bass extender on the 5th string. It is like putting fancy wheels on your car. Musicians in the know will notice these tuners. These are very light and cured my neck-dive issue.The supplier was great. The manufacturer mislabeled a part so I received 1 treble side and 3 bass side. The supplier took them back and promptly sent a new set.

After 17 years, the D string tuner on my German Warwick Corvette Standard broke. I replaced all four chrome Warwick tuners with these 3/8" Hipshots. They are a perfect fit, look awesome, and work like a charm.

Swapped out the stock generic Y style tuners on my Jackson JS22 4 string bass and has made tuning way more precise. While the Jackson tuners were not terrible, these are a great upgrade. Zero stiction, more precise and accurate tuning, stays in tune. Added bonus dropped several ounces of weight off the end of the headstock-doesn’t total much but noticeable difference and lightened up the neck a lot.

I bought these based on other reviews. They did not disappoint!
