Well worth learning how to use all the features! Watch some videos on youtube!
Pros: It is a real set of SWANSON speed squares! Comes with handy instruction booklet. Very sturdy and rigid metal for years of tough service in construction fields and trustworthy accuracy. You can use it as a SAW guide for quick short cuts angled or straight with something like a battery powered skill saw with good accuracy. CONS: Like any super duper handy tool, there is a learning curve to get the most out of it. I strongly recommend watching a few videos and learn what you need most first. I did find some minor casting defects in my smaller square that came in the set but the defects are purely cosmetic so I did not contact the seller. It would have been nice for their QC to catch this one and reject it before it made it out the door.

You gotta have these high quality speed squares in your shop. Must have tools for DIYers and experts alike. Very hefty, thick and durable. Easy read measurements. Even has a manual if you want to check it out to find ways that speed up measuring, angling, and squaring cuts. I like the matte silver color and thick black text/tick marks.

Aluminum squares are just about right for everyday use. Thick enough to survive for awhile Texture is a bit rough so they are easy to hold on to Easy to read numbers and lines Seems to be accurate enough for me
