RC Helicopters, Syma Remote Control Helicopter with Gyro Nano Indoor Kids Toy Gift

With the cold winter season upon us bringing blustery windy conditions, I wanted something that I could fly indoors and keep my RC flying skills tightly tuned. I own a couple of SYMA drones which I’ve been very happy with so I thought I would give the S100 a shot. It has some incredibly features for a sub $50 RC helicopter which I will get to.Upon opening the box, there really was no assembly required. Just throw batteries into the controller, plug the USB charging cable into the helicopter, and in a bout 20 minutes you are ready for flight. It’s very easy to sync to the controller. Just throw some AAA batteries into the controller, turn it on along with the helicopter. A simple command of pushing the left joystick forward and backwards and you’re ready for flight. Here are some of the features that I think are very useful.0. Built in Gyro makes it easy to fly. While flying, if you drop the controller or just give it zero feedback, the helicopter will immediately come to a hover. So if you are flying tight spaces, it makes it easy to pilot slowly and stop to get regain control. 0.Auto takeoff and landing. One button will launch and land the helicopter from the ground or your hand. Makes it very easy to have perfect landings which will assure you won’t damage any of the moving parts on what is usually the portion of flight that causes the need for repairs. It comes with an extra tail rotor which controls the pitch of the helicopter moving it forward and backwards. But I’ve yet to need to replace anything. I’ve had a few wall skims that have caused a crash and did not have to adjust a thing. I’ve had micro RC helicopters in the past and they are typically a throw away item as they are not durable. The SYMA S100 really holds up and at this price point I may order another one so I can charge one while flying the other.

My husband and I bought this for our two-year boy, to replace an old RC helicopter that won't charge up anymore.We are overall very happy with this product. It's small so easy to fly in our house. It takes a single push on the take-off/land for the helicopter to automatically take off or land which is very easy for our toddler to play with. The battery outlasts the attention span of our two-year-old once charged up, and we have been using it heavily for a month and have not noticed any sign of the battery having any trouble holding the charges.The only complaints we have are: 1. Sometimes it takes multiple trials to link the remote and helicopter (even if we power on remote control first, power on the helicopter second, push the left joystick up and down to link and wait for 10s); 2. Sometimes when the helicopter crash-lands, clicking the land button won't stop the blades and we have to power off the remote control to stop the blades of the already landed helicopter. But once we figured out the work-arounds, we don't really mind these issues.We think it's fair to give it a four-star review based on our one-month experience with it.

How they sell these so inexpensively I will never know, because this tiny little thing is rugged, works flawlessly and is so dang fun to fly. I've sent back many drones and RC copters to Amazon because the remote doesn't pair correctly or the controls are off or there are issues with flying..... not the case with this RC micro-helicopter! It performs exactly as you expect it should and it just never gets old. Love it!

Pro: This helicopter is by far the easiest to control than any of the other bigger ones that I have that are also made by the same company.Con: I wish the battery lasted longerOverall it’s a lot of fun to fly because of it is super easy to control while flying!

I bought this in December 2020, I've flown it maybe 10 times, now the battery is shot, it will no longer hold charge

The product is so amazing and the battery life is perfect to fly around the house practicing your indoor flying skills. The value of the product is affordable and the best bang for your buck. It’s such an easy to use product with walk through instructions and online videos to help guide the way. Would recommend to anyone to purchase this product.

My nine-year-old niece loved this thing. It is very small, but realistically easy to use and fly. The “take off” button was my favorite feature because we didn’t have to go through the difficult of learning to get the toy in the air before being able to actually play with it.The blades are also soft enough for light indoor use. It will knock things over if you’re not careful, but my niece was old enough to understand that and stay away from fragile items in the house.My only concern is that, with the product being so small, it is a bit fragile. Parts will break if it drops from too tall of a height, but most drop simply resulted in my niece running after it to try again.The battery is tiny, so you’ve only got about five minutes of fly time before it needs to be charged again, but that’s not too bad considering it only takes about 25 minutes to be back in action.Overall, a good little gift for birthdays or holidays, or just to spoil the kids (or adults) in your life!

This thing is the most exciting thing ever. It’s meant for in doors unless u wanna lose it outside with the wind. It’s small and great. Some what easy to learn it took me some time. Give ur self some open space and you will be fine. This is my first little drone and I’m drooling over it. Also make sure to expect like 7 min most of play time then charge it for 25 min.
