Isn't it sad that the TV shows now are so poorly written
This was a gift for my husband, he loves Kojak. I thought the DVD was a bit pricey for such an old show. I wish the price had been more reasonable. Isn't it sad that the TV shows now are so poorly written, that people have to go back at least 20 years to find good TV entertainment. As for me, I miss the late night talk shows like Johny Carson. He was so much fun. Now we have late night so called comedians who think trashing the President is a fun time for all. BORING.

DONT MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANYMORE!
Clever, no nonsense street smart and swagger is how I sum up Kojak the character.

Kojak at its best ...
If you like big-city crime dramas and a great ensemble cast, “Kojak” is for you. The series had really hit its stride at this point. Some inventive stories with nice touches of humor. Well worth buying!

love all of the seasons - just wish the last ...
love all of the seasons - just wish the last season was sold separately - did not know if i would like so i ended up buying one at a time - recommend a person buys the complete set at one time.

Wonderful series spoiled in places by poor sound quality
Real nostalgia for Kojak fans - the good old days when plots were interesting and actors all looked different from one another! This is an enjoyable series, with reasonably good picture quality but the sound balance is poor in some episodes where the background noise (typewriters and footsteps in a busy office for example) makes some of the dialogue difficult to hear. So, I turned up the volume and got deafened by the next run of Kojak's police siren! However, it's enjoyable just the same.

Get the sound sorted!!!!
The sound quality does vary from episode to episode The series itself and the picture are fine but strange they were allowed to sell this set with poor sound quality hence 4 of out of 5
