Long lasting: last pair lasted 10 years with every day wear, low lustre finish requires polishing.
HI folks. These are solid work shoes and last forever. At this price point shoe makers are not putting a high gloss finish on them. You have to keep them polished for them to look complete. I am wearing the brown version, and it is a beautiful medium brown. However, because the open leather sucks up the polish, you MUST use the light brown Kiwi polish/wax color to preserve the medium brown as they arrive. Using "brown" kiwi, will significantly darken them to a very dark brown. OK, if that is what you want. but to preserve what you see, the very light brown (looks like "camel" color in the tin.) I have narrow feet, low instep and flat feet, very difficult to buy shoes that fit. I also wanted shoes that have a relatively smooth bottom, so they do not pick up mud and dirt and carry it into the house. These are relatively smooth on the bottom, but enough texture to grip adequately. The relatively low instep (low support) in the show works for my flat narrow feet. The insoles are removable, so you can replace with an insole that gives you a greater arch if so needed. I paid $80 for these ten years ago, and got my size and width at what had to have been a closeout. Would have probably paid $100 or more knowing how long they last. Thanks Dunham!

I'm a little concerned that they may not be waterproof anymore but I haven't tested that (just looks like the seam may not be totally solid anymore)
I got these back in 2016 and I was just looking for a new pair when I realized I haven't reviewed them. Honestly I've beaten the heck out of these, walked probably hundreds of collective miles in them, and live in a wet, rainy, humid city. I've worn them across dirt and concrete, asphalt, marble and carpet, in the sun and the rain. I have two pairs, one in black and one in brown, and they're my daily go-to. I don't polish them as often as I should and I oil them a few times a year, so minimal maintenance. They're bulletproof. I'm a little concerned that they may not be waterproof anymore but I haven't tested that (just looks like the seam may not be totally solid anymore). The tread on the bottom still looks basically like new and no matter how badly I beat up on them they polish right back up to a very presentable look. All the stitching is intact. In fact, even the original laces are still holding up. I can wear them with anything short of a suit and they look great for a combination of utilitarian and style. I'll definitely get another two pairs, if I ever need them.

NOT A DURABLE SHOE VERY CHEAP MATERIAL FOR PRICE
I gave this one star i purchase this for office work normal standing and walking around the office i didnt expect this shoe to be so weak and poorly made for the price. its comfortable but the outside damages so easy from walking around so many scratches and within the 6 months that i own it it looks like its been though hell. i expected far more of a better shoe from dunham but i guess not anymore i would not suggest anyone to buy this shoe with high expectations. the shoe has faded entirely it looks like a shoe that is years old. it wrinkles with ease within the first week. not a durable shoe in my opinion for $150 bucks you can find a better shoe.

Don't Buy the Oxfords
The fit is fine. Because I have a wide fit, I have purchased Dunham's for years in-store; this is my first time purchasing online as it's hard to find stores in my immediate area that offer these dress shoes. I purchased two pair through Amazon, these Oxfords and a black pair. These Oxfords were manufactured in China and seem to noticeably scratch easily, and the sweat from the feet at the toes comes through and seems to leave a permanent mark. Perhaps when I polish them the scratches and the sweat marks will disappear. Considering the cost of these shoes, this disappoints me. I never noticed this with my many previous in-store (New Balance stores) purchases of these same Dunham shoes. Therefore, I hope that Dunham comes back to the U.S. and manufactures their products here using the top quality they've used in the past.In the future I will look at other avenues for purchasing shoes.

I thought maybe after I wore them for a few months and broke them in they would get more comfortable. But they never did
I gave these shoes time to grow on me. I thought maybe after I wore them for a few months and broke them in they would get more comfortable. But they never did. They are without a doubt the most uncomfortable waterproof oxfords that I have ever owned! They are bulky, heavy, and extremely hot (not a good hot, but a bad hot - as in make your feet sweat a lot!) It was getting to where I would take my shoes off while working at my desk and only put them back on when I had a reason to leave. Or I would avoid trousers that required black shoes and go with ones where I could wear my comfortable brown shoes. It is a shame because these were not cheap and I had high expectations going in. I'll be going back to my trusty Timberland Concourse or Rockport Northfield. Both are so much more comfortable.

best dressy shoes
I've owned dozens of shoes in my life and these have been the single best pair. They fit my wide 6E foot well but that's to be expected. Where these really shine is in the durability department. ALL of my shoes wear out rather quickly. I have had issues with the soles splitting, the insides wearing out, the side walls tearing from the base etc. These have minor wear on the outside and that's all I can complain about. They look nice and a grippy on floors. They aren't super shiney for formal wear but they look good in any other scenario. I will buy another pair when these go out but for the first time I cannot foresee when that will be.

Quality shoe for a respectable price
I originally ordered a size 19, which is the size of all my other shoes. However they came in way to big. After a quick no hassle exchange I ordered a couple sizes down to a 17. They just came in today, and they seem like they're going to be just fine.Shoe seems to be respectably well made, no lack of shine like suggested in some other reviews. If anything changes, I will update this review.

Good shoe
Nice shoe, the finish is a bit bit dull, need to be shined. Overall well built and accommodates my orthotics nicely.
