This HK SU27 is an awesome beginner plane! It's rugged, the gyro is lightyears beyond the tech I origionally learned to fly RC planes with (very costly back then), reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the difficulty in getting replacement parts in a timely manner. It IS possible to get said parts, but the wait time to get them in can be well over a month. It is wise to get extra propellors and landing gear ordered at the same time you purchase this model and hope the provided sets last long enough to hold out until the spare parts finally arrive.Propellors are the biggest issue, unless you're an experienced pilot with a perfect landing strip, you're going to see propellor damage upon landing. The landing gear is plastic wheels on rigid wire which has very little forgiveness for hard landings and even lightly rough landing surfaces. It's best to hand launch this model without the gear attached and perform unpowered landings in taller grass to extend the longevity of the props and airframe. For the price, it's an excellent beginner model plane. Even for seasoned pilots... it's a great park flyer when on "expert mode" if you just want to "get out and fly" and not have to deal with trimming out control surfaces and don't have a gargantuan area to fly in. This model can be easily flown over a tennis court, football or baseball field with plenty of space for toying around. The controls are a bit gimmicky but the end result is being ably to fly where other more advanced models can't.

It is a 3 channel plane and the 3 channel worked twice now you cannot move the elevator up or down. I bought 2 of their planes before and was disappointed. I was hoping that maybe they got their stuff together after I year but they still have issues.

Our 12 yr old has flown (and destroyed) several drones & RC planes. He picked this one up and it is surprisingly durable, and thus worth the price.The remote control is very responsive and easy to learn and use. He says it is better than other remote controls he has used in the past.Range on plane is fairly good (over 100 yards and still responding). Plane lands ok, though it is always scary that it might become a nose dive, esp. with a breeze. Good battery life (about 15 minutes), and nice that it came with 2 batteries so you can switch one out and keep flying. Takes about an hour to fully charge a battery for another round.

Worked great for about 6 flights then one of the motors stopped working. Bummed to find out my return date just passed. Was hoping to exchange.

I was excited when the plane arrived. That is until I opened it. It must have been a return because I got a used airplane. Also, the wings were tattered and one looked slightly burnt on the tip. The decal insignias had been painted over with white paint (and not done very well). I don't know if this was some mistake at the shipping end or not. I hope it was not done on purpose. At any rate, I ended up with another plane and in the end, I think I'm better off.

The first one we received hd no battery, a wing that had been broken and glued back on, and missing landing gear, clearly used. So we returned it and gave them a 2nd chance. The elevator servo would jam up every 2 seconds on the new one, will not buy again, AWFUL PRODUCT.

I loved it when it fly but after my most recent flight and belly landing the right motor just ceased to function. I have only had the plane for a few months and less than 10 flights. I changed out the radio batteries to no avail. Since the electronics are sealed in the plane, I assume I am just out of luck with no option to repair. I don't feel like a lot of work to restore this one is worth it.
