Suzuki Harmonica Chromatic SCX-48 Key D SCX-48D

This is a beautifully made Chromonica by a well respected maker.However in key D I personally found the tone less than appealing, especially in the lower register. The intonation was also a bit disappointing against a Seiko meter although I know many Chromonicas are tuned for good reason a little sharp to A =442Hz rather than 440.This was a sad disappointment but as I had played it only briefly and carefully, I was lucky enough to have it accepted for return and refund and I bought something else (by Seydel) direct from the makers.

I purchased this to replace a new Hohner Chromonica which I did not like at all. The Suzuki Chromaticx works just fine. No sticking of the wind savers, all notes in the lower register work with proper breath control, and the slide moves well. It is very heavy harmonica with a lot of mass. It feels good to play and I am enjoying it a lot. Much better than the Hohner,in my opinion. When I buy my G harmonica, it will be a Suzuki.

It is very smooth for the lips to play. Sound is deep and require less breathing. I have Hohner 270BX-E Super Chromonica also, but this one is superior product then Hohner 270BX-E Super Chromonica.

Real disatisified I was expecting a 16 hole Harmonica as shown in your advertisement and received a 10 hole which very disapointing, I have been playing this instrument for many years and am quite qualified. Not what I expected.
