Purchased for an elderly person who need a portable player that they could use a headset when plugged in the player shut off??? I tried the headphones on another unit and they work perfect

We bought this CD player for our young grandchildren. Although CD players have been largely replaced with cloud music and iPads, this is a terrific device for children to be able to have independence and choice in listening. The sound is quite good. It is easy to use. There is no annoying imbalance noise. My only concern for improvement would be a longer electric cord. My grandchildren are using CDs for listening to music, music story books with accompanying CDs, and for English and foreign language storybooks..

I bought this for my attic to listen to language learning CDs and my local radio station after searching through literally hundreds of units. The FM stereo reception is good once you manage to find the station you want, but it's a guessing process, because, like most boomboxes available on Amazon, there's no tuner display or indicator. That's why I took away a star for "Easy to use." Also the volume and tuning and the mode switch from CD/aux-in to radio are all in the back of the unit so you once again have to guess or turn it around every time to look. Not very user-friendly product design! That said, the CD player works fine so far (just got the unit). And I love the fact that I can connect my iPhone via 3.5 audio jack + lightning adapter to listen to podcasts. (I really don't need or want another Bluetooth device!) Finally, when you have the BBS button pressed the sound really is rich and excellent, and there's more than enough volume for a 10x18 carpeted room. The price/value ratio for this baby is excellent. Recommend.

I bought this cd payer for my 91 year old mother who is a resident in a Florida nursing home and am in NY . She was very happy when she first received it, the sound quality, ease of use...until it went totally dead. No radio, no cd player, neither on battery or AC power. And now, with the covid 19 crisis in full swing, she's out of a source of comfort and entertainment. That's why I only give it one star. Make it right and I will give it its rightful rating.

Every button is adequately labeled, and it's simple and easy to use. Just pop in a CD and it starts playing. Not as tinny sounding as some of the other budget options. My only gripe is that the lettering could be bigger, but I bought it specifically for an elderly dementia patient, and there's an extreme lack of high visibility simple electronics out there these days. This does the job pretty well though.

I was looking for a compact portable CD Player with reasonable sound quality and this met the requirement very well. Unfortunately, while the radio continued to function, the CD Player no longer worked after being used only three times. I therefore contacted Customer Support using the email address provided with the paperwork. This promised a response within 24 hours and this was fulfilled despite my sending my email on a Sunday afternoon. After a couple of emails back and forth to clarify what worked and what did not I was offered a free replacement with no requirement to return the defective unit. This was received within a few days and so far has proved to be completely satisfactory. The rating would be no more than one star except for the excellent customer support. The failure of the original unit could have been due to it being jarred in shipment. As a result of the 5-star customer support which resulted in such a prompt resolution of the problem I feel it deserves the above three star rating.

Bought this CD/Radio player for my wife for Christmas. Thought the instructions and AC cord were missing. They came out of the box before I wrapped the CD Player for her present. Found both on 26 Dec. Great Player. Wish radio stations were displayed on front of player like CD is. Not a problem having them on the back. Also wish you could use headphones with player. All in all if you don’t need to use headphones I highly recommend this player for you. Would purchase again.

I'm really disappointed about having to return this CD player. I was impressed with the stylish design and optimal size. Unfortunately, the sound quality was awful. I tried a half dozen CDs with the same staticky results. This model is advertised as "anti-skip" but that's incorrect. The moment I picked the unit up to move it, the music stopped. I lightly tapped the unit to test further test it, and it stopped playing. When the music resumed, the static was worse. On the bright side, I was able to return it to Amazon immediately and without hassle.
