Paper thin side walls will shorten service life
Side walls are paper thin but I wanted this tread design. My last set of this design went 2000 miles before the side walls disintegrated/frayed, still at least 1000 miles of good tread left. I used a UV protectant on the sidewalls too. Would have had violent blowouts if not for my practice of running under 25 PSI. I hear this tread design is being discontinued. My pair was delivered in a perfectly sized box. UPDATE AFTER 1000 MILES - Holding up OK but actual fabric pattern is visible through sidewalls. I am more careful to keep them treated with UV coating and avoid ever scuffing sidewalls but one scuff could ruin these.

Nice tires, thick tread surface
Side walls are strong but feel thin and flexible, When inflated overall tire seems good with a good thick tread surface.I use 24" wheels and 3.0 size tires on 26" cruiser bikes, It gives a nice smooth ride and with 24 x 3.0 tires size is almost same as 26" wheels and tires.

Just wanted to post a comment because someone had said that the tires were packaged/shipped in a way that made them unusable by the time they arrived. That wasn't my experience. They were for sure in a small bag, but not twisted in a way that was problematic at all. As for the tires... They were exactly what my husband needed.

The tire was folded up like a pretzel so it would fit in a bag
The tire was folded up like a pretzel so it would fit in a bag. Problem is, the tire has a wire bead and folding it up they way they did bent the wire making the tire unusable. I recommend the tire as I have used it before but I would find someone else to buy it from.

good tire for the price
So i was working on a bike project and wanted a 24 x 3.0 tire and took a chance on these to keep the cost down. the side walls are really thin and came kind of wrinkly before they were inflated. we'll see how they hold up but the thin sidewalls also means they weigh less than my thickbricks. also not all 3.0s are created equal and these are actually 2 7/8 mounted on a 2" rim and 2 5/8 on 1.75 rim that could be a good thing if clearance is a concern. they are a cheaper tire but worth going with from my point of view especially for mockups or bikes with clearance issues
