Boom and Sizzle
I used these with my FiiO X5 (2nd gen) for the gym. I have Cans many times the cost of these, and no, they don't sound as good as them. But they give a good effort. For 30 bucks you cant get much better. The bass is only insinuated . And treble can get a little Shrill. The clarity in separation isn't there.but what do you want for 30 bucks. MRSP is a joke. These are a little flimsy as well. So you got to take care. For gym cans, these are very good. They fold up and you can rock out and get your sets in. For a SQ cans. No No NOBtw there is no such thing as audible "break in". "Break in" is inaudible. Just your ears becoming trained to the sound. If you have a good pair of headphones or speakers you keep going back to, your new cans or speakers will never "break in". LOLI recommend Sennheiser Momentum On Ear. Catch em on sale, if you after SQ in the sub 100.

Surprising Bang for the Buck.
I'm annoyed at how much I like them. They're cool looking and feeling. They have extremely clear high's and reasonable low's. They are comfortable and are going to work well in my camera bag for audio monitoring. I'm extremely thick necked so I've been on the hunt for something cheap that will fit nicely when I'm talking with clients and not actively filming and these are going to do just fine. I'm staunchly in the camp that the more money you spend on audio gear the higher the quality but these fit the bill for a great back up pair or something cheap for travel! I'm not sure they'd be comfortable for hours on end as I've moved into believing Velour is the way to handle long recording or gaming sessions. Only took a star off for the aforementioned creaking sound from the earpieces when you're moving around. It's not terrible if you're at a higher volume but it's there.

Avoid Velodyne!
This company make product with unimaginably bad build quality. They simply fall apart with normal use. The worst part is this : "Upon evaluating the vQuiet headphones you sent, it has beendetermined thatthe faulty is not the result of manufacturer defect andtherefore thewarranty claim has been denied.Let us know if you want thedamaged headphones sent back or for us todiscard it?The Velodyne AudioProduct Support Team"that is what I got when I tried to return the item!!

If you have the right equipment, these headphones ROCK!
FIRST off you need to connect the cable correctly. Plug the "elbow" end into the headphones then the straight end into the music source. Also, to get the most from these headphones you want to run them through a headphone amp. I am using an inexpensive.inexpensive. Fiio E5. Sound stage is pretty good but you will really notice is the clarity and the "punch" especially on the low end. I am very happy with the sound quality from the Carpenters to Metallica. Once the headphones burn in a bit they will only get better. I am thrilled that I only paid an "Andrew Jackson" with free shipping for these. The construction of these headphones can throw you off at first. They are very light weight which usually means cheap, but the quality is not bad at all. They feel a whole lot like Bose on-ear headphones to me. The cable is of flat style and honestly not my first choice and it's kind of on the short side. The headphones also come with a nice storage bag.UPDATE: 12/31/2014These headphones have burned in and have even gotten better! I cannot believe I got these for $19.99 shipped! The immersive sound I am getting from these headphones is blowing me away. If I could get another pair at $19.99 I would actually buy many so I can share with friends and family.

Good design but no bass whatsoever.
Love the cool design but the fact that the volume is really low and that it does not have a strong base really is a disappointment. Look at any other headphones and the sound quality starts off with having an excellent base and high volume.

If you pick them up for $25 they're worth it.
I only paid $25 for these and at that price I'd buy another pair. They're lightweight, sound is better than expected (@$25). I wouldn't pay retail for these though, for $50 I'd wait for the sony mdr-v6 to go on another flash sale.I use these as my on-the-go / travel pair of cheap headphones.Pros:They're lightweight, and surprisingly comfortable. They fit comfortably on-ear and even after extended wearing I don't find strain even while wearing glasses.Sound is pretty good for $25 headphones, they sound better when hooked up to my mixer and external amp then when running from my phone or pc.Cons:The cable they include is utter garbage. If you order straight from velodyne they're going to toss in a cheap cable and not one with in-line controls (as advertised).Complaints about awful sound derive from this audio cable problem. It's also a short cable (4ft) and I swapped it out for a $4 15ft cable from monoprice and have zero sound issues. They don't really compare to my mdr-v6's (recently $49) or mdr-cd900st ($180 japan imports),
