This is an example of a seller doing everything right. The choice of values is perfect for filter design in power switching or audio applications. A random sample of values are on target with inductance, series resistance, and hysterisis. I did a few simple switcher designs and these worked almost exactly as calculated which is better than expected for a first pass. Temperature rise was in line with expectations. I did some testing to estimate core type and avoid core saturation. I would have preferred to have a detailed spec sheet for each value. Even with name brand parts I have to do characterization work for my application, but it would have gone faster with some metrics to start with. Regardless this is a very nice inductor kit.

These appear to be a good selection of inductors for tinkering, so in that sense, they're reasonably good value. However, I have three complaints: 1) The components are unmarked--this isn't the end of the world, since they're sorted in their neat plastic box, but they're not all distinguishable by appearance/size/finish, and that means if you take one and forget what it was you'll have a problem putting it back. I determined that resistance will help with distinguishing/identifying them in this case. 2) There's zero data on current capacity--since I'm trying to use these for a switched-mode power supply, this is a major problem. 3) There's no information about the core-type, saturation current, or indeed anything else beyond the basic inductance. This makes them much less useful than they could be, and would seem easy to fix. To exacerbate this, the seller does not appear to take notice of questions asked here.

The box is cheap quality. The latch was broken upon arrival. We'll see about the inductors.

Well-made inductors, I'll check them against the Data Sheet using'the LCR meter, but doubt there will be any issues. Bojack seems to have great Quality Control.
