SCOSCHE GMSRCL2 2002-2013 GM Class 2 Car Stereo Replacement Interface Control with Chime (Class II Data System)

Used on a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 with base radio. Used to install pioneer touch screen double din head unit. This is a must have for installing a new head unit. The wiring harness with the recommended Scosche complete installation kit will not work...don't waste your time. You must buy this separately. All wires properly matched and install was easy once I had this harness.

I installed this in my 2005 Silverado 2500HD WT (Base) worked well keeps the chimes and RAP function, All the wire colors matched my pioneer radio was pretty straight forward no surprises

It was a perfect fit, I should have bought this first but was unaware 2003 gmc envoy needed this type of interface wiring harness. The 2 others I bought, the wire connectors inside the harness did not line up to the vehicles harness. And did not power on at all.

It works well. I have my radio and my chimes back in my vehicle. One note, on older cars (I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado) the wires are not the same color on your factory harness. For a novice like me this was very confusing, however they do line up correctly even though they are different colors. If you want to go to the trouble you can find both wiring diagrams online, but you really won't need to. It works as is. It's really hard to find this information which is why I'm sharing it here.Using a kit without the black box works too, but you have to run a red hot wire to your fuse box (which I wouldn't even want to attempt) and you will lose all your warning chimes.

Good price, easy to install, and small enough to fit behind the radio. Great product for the money

I did not realize that it didn’t have the steering wheel control function. Although, that’s no fault of the product. Looked it up and it worked great!

Best Buy told me something like this didn't exist, and said they could rig something up (for about $120) that does what this does.It was a little tedious to wire it up, but my radio and warning chimes work perfectly. Plus the added bonus that I saved over $100 by NOT shopping at Best Buy!

You can disable the door gong & reverse gong by opening the black box,(4) small clips on the side & unplugging the speaker on the inside. All wires were color coded correct & matched the stereo.
