Why is there a warning stating that there is a choking hazard for children under 3, when the photo features a baby of about 12 months?

I thought the same thing! But not only is it a warning, it says- "not FOR children under 3 years". Then shows an image of a child clearly way less than 3 and says, "Manufacturer recomended age 18-3yrs". So confusing!

No, this is really a toy for younger children and toddlers who wouldn't know how to use a color-coded music book.

This is a great toy for a toddler or older baby. They can use the little stick to bang away on the bars. Note that this is not a toy they will sit for hours using. Its a nice toy to start incorporating musical instruments to your little ones toys. My little one plays for about 5 mins and moves on. They really have short attention spans. Have patience with them. My only complaint is the string needs to be longer.
