good starter game
Bought this for my 4 year old grandson knowing he would probably get bored with it fairly quickly, but felt he needed something non- frustrating for his first DS game. It was a perfect choice. He learned how to play it without getting mad or wanting us to play it for him. If you are giving your 3 or 4 year old Nintendos this is a perfect first game, especially if they watch TV Diego.

My 3 Year Old enjoys it
My Little son enjoys playing this game. He ended up getting hooked on the new Super Mariio Bros, but if he is not playing Mario, He will be playing this game and his 3rd choice is Spongebob Atlantis, or Tenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He has a total of 8 games and at first this was his favorite game.

A fun little game
The game plays identically to its cousin game Dora the Explorer Saves the Mermaids. My daughter is two and a half and was able to finish the entire game in less than an hour. It was easy enough for a smaller child but if your child is over the age of five, it will not be challenging to them at all. If you are looking for a first game for a pre-school aged child, they will enjoy the animals and action of this game. The mini-games use repetitive techniques to complete and there are several that are nearly identical. My daughter being so young, she is still interested in playing it frequently but I doubt someone over the age of three would get more than a couple of uses out of this game.

So, so....
My son just turned 3, and I thought he'd love this game based off of the reviews. Unfortunately this is probably the game he plays the least. If this is your child's 1st DS game, it might be worthwhile, but since my son has older siblings (the oldest is 8), they have more fun, challenging games that are more enjoyable. Super Mario is probably his favorite. The activities on Go Diego Go: Safari Rescue are extremely simple and I guess it just does not keep his attention. If your child is even a little advanced at playing the DS, this one might not be the best buy.

Good game but too short
Bought this for my 5 years old son, he enjoyed it a lot, but completed the game in half an hour. Good game but too short, do not feel that it was worth the money. I wish they put the age group in all these games or at least level of difficulty (instead of rated E which tells nothing in terms of difficulty and length of game). This way, I can purchase a higher level game that lasts longer than half an hour and that makes the product worth the money.

Purchased for my 3 yr old Diego lover, we will stick with watching the show.
Purchased this for my 3 year old who loves Go Diego Go! Sad to report this was disappointing. He lost interest fast. The instructions it issues seemed more advanced than even the show. My son interracts with the show like a pro, the game seemed boring in comparison and slow. I supposed when converted into a game they are a bit limited. The game was ok but at times I wish there was a way to go through a tutorial before buying.
