Cooler Master cm Storm Octane Multicolor LED Gaming Keyboard and Mouse Combo Bundle (SGB-3020-KKMF1-US)

So I’ve had the cooler master cm storm octane gaming gear combo for about a month now and I absolutely love it. This is a full review on how to control the keyboard and mouse LED’s as well so it’s a full review and coverage of the features so when you read it you will know about every feature of this keyboard and mouse.The octane provides you a variety of great features and LED’s without blowing you wallet on some cheapo 10 or 15 dollar Walmart dell or hp keyboard and mouse that doesn’t give you any sort of cool features whatsoever.Keyboard:You can make the keyboard breathe and change LED colors alone by holding fn and the keyboard LED Key, you can adjust the breathing speed by holding fn and + or – to make it faster or slower, you can change and adjust the brightness for the keyboard by holding fn and the brightness up and down keys, you can lock the windows button which is always a huge bonus for gamers as you can lock your windows button so when you go hit ctrl you don’t bump that stupid windows key and you get kicked out of your game so you can lock that, additionally you can lock the entire keyboard by pressing fn and f11 to lock your entire keyboard which is great for kids were they can just press whatever they want and they have no idea about this feature so you can protect your PC.Mouse:Now for the mouse, you can change the LED colors by pressing the button on the bottom and you can match your keyboard and mouse. You can adjust your DPI mouse levels on the fly by pressing the up button on the mouse and the DPI levels can be adjusted between 500, 1000, 2000 and 3500 DPI level speed, I have found out that you CAN make your mouse breathe colors and change itself as well but you can’t adjust the speed and to make your mouse breather you hold the LED button on the mouse and the backward button on the left side, not many people know about it but when I got the combo I actually found out about it so I had to include it in my review, you can actually control the mouse buttons and set different functions for them, for example I have disabled my forward and backward buttons in the browser because I hate to press them by accident. This set has surprised me in some places, and in other places kept me rather unsurprised.The Cooler Master Storm Octane accomplishes what I wanted: interchangeable LEDs, decent feel, matching set with matching LED colors, reliable connection every day. That being said, there are a few things that you should consider before purchasing, some good, and some I feel would irritate the right people if they didn't do their research.PROS:The keys feel fantastic (save for ONE, see CONS): Don't get me wrong here, if you want a nice feeling when you type, mechanical keyboards are right up your alley, but this keyboard gets about as close as you can get without being mechanical. The key presses are smooth, make minimal noise, were easy for my hands to learn once settled into the keyboard's general key locations and shape.LEDs: The LEDs fill in very nicely and match perfectly between the keyboard and mouse. There are multiple functions you can use, like breathing (at different speeds, even), three brightness levels (along with totally off), keyboard lock button for cleaning or watching something,Cables are not braided!: This can be a preference thing. For me, braided cable gets caught on everything and makes the mouse experience irritating to say the least. For those who share my sentiment, here's a PRO for you.Price: The price to performance/value ratio is amazing. It's the perfect starter combo for a beginning PC gamer, or even someone that wants to try out their console with a kb/m setup for a specific game.Win key toggle: This is a GOD SEND, especially when you're gaming in fullscreen mode. Shut that GabeN forsaken key off when gaming. Wish some other gaming keyboards would have this function.The mouse in general: it's pretty light (that can be good or bad depending on who you are), clicks are very satisfying, DPI settings are great, color change is great, scroll wheel has zero problems with scrolling.CONS:The spacebar: Yeah, this is the one key that bothers me. It rattles when pressed, which makes its noise stand out from the rest of the keys. Not to mention it's wonky shape; I know you're trying to be unique, Cooler Master, but this wasn't the way to do that...The gripping: There's just not enough gripping to keep the keyboard stationary. I find myself with a slanted keyboard sometimes when I'm in the zone typing away. This keyboard slides around like crazy, and it's even worse when it's on its stilts. Something I would recommend Cooler Master improve on in their next release.The mouse's side keys are a little touchy: This is very nitpicky. Sometimes, I find myself pressing the side button on the mouse whilst going to grab it and putting my page back one. This can be incredibly frustrating when doing simple web surfing. Make the side keys a little more resistant!Can't change the color on the mouse wheel LED?: I wish this was a thing, although the eye-catching white light on it is something that the keyboard should take notes on. (see below)White light on the keyboard: The "white" light isn't very white at all. This is probably a consequence of glare between LEDs, due to each set of LEDs pertaining to only one color. The only way you will be able to get a pure white is to get a white light only keyboard, or get an RGB mechanical. I can confirm that the white LED looks like a dull cyan or pale sky blue, definitely not a white.OVERALL: This set did what I purchased it for, and also surprised me with some other nice features I found myself using more than I thought I would. I would recommend this set as a starter for someone who is still skeptical of the gaming community and is looking for a good experience right out of the gate.

yo compre este kit mas que nada por el teclado, mire varios videos sobre este teclado en especial, ademas de estar a un precio menor y que me lo regalaron, el material se siente muy pesado y de Buena calidad, tiene una goma que Evita salpicaduras y accidentes, es bastante preciso y cuando presiono una tecla realmente me da una Buena senacion, no parece que las teclas esten flojas ni nada por el estilo, me permite cambiar o apagar las luces del teclado, con una tecla ya definida par esa funcion, cosa que no encontre en otros teclados de precio similar, en general es cooler master, no puedo decir mucho, es muy buen teclado, el mouse no lo probe, pero igual se siente resistente y no parece un mal mouse.

Prodotti veramente ottimi, autoinstallanti e molto reattivi, perfetti per il gaming senza togliere niente ad un design accattivante e multicolore (carina la funzione del glow dei led che cambiano colore a varie velocità). Nello specifico, trovo la tastiera molto comoda, i tasti multimedia sono una bella comodità, per non parlare della macro per il blocco tasti, inoltre anche in gioco ha una reattività molto alta, non ho mai notato segni di microlag ed i led non danno fastidio neanche nel buio totale, oltre ad avere una luminosità regolabile ed anche il colore si può cambiare a piacimento oppure con la semplice combinazione di due tasti può cambiare automaticamente a frequenza settabile sempre da tastiera. Stesso discorso per il mouse, reattivissimo anche negli FPS più frenetici, la sensibilità si setta con un tasto messo al punto giusto, i due tasti aggiuntivi sono comodissimi come la stessa ergonomia che non stanca, anzi, nei giochi che richiedono un controller vi dispiacerà non poter utilizzare invece questo fantastico bundle.CONCLUSIONE: Non perdete tempo a leggere le recensioni, fate l'ordine senza pensarci 2 volte. Se avete un PC qualsiasi DOVETE abbinarci questo set. Ha tutto il necessario, reattività e fluidità a livelli impressionanti, qualità elevata con spedizione velocissima e costi molto bassi, ancora vi fate domande?Spero di poter recensire nuovamente prodotti che mi abbiano soddisfatto così, grazie CoolerMaster!

No tiene el teclado en español y la tecla de enter es más pequeña que en los teclados normales con lo cual el dedo a veces falla. En cuanto al tacto y diseño es una verdadera maravilla.

freaking love this combo set, the mouth feels great and the keyboard is nice to type on and great for gaming!

the keyboard and mouse have exceeded my expectations and i am simply loving it.It is comfortable and very nice to use while gaming typing and various other activities.but i wished that the mouse showed the dpi mode it is in through some colour or number as there is no way to find it out unless i move my mouse and guess the dpi mode.other thing is that the play pause next back button of the keyboard do not work but because i dont use it i dont mind but this is an issue and i dont know whether this has happened only to me.But apart from this the combo is amazing and worth it as the keyboard is very comforable and the backlight is very cool.Amazing combo but some minor things need to improve.The mouse is easy to use and mouse button 4 and 5 are well placed and easy to press .Even though i have small hands i can still use the mouse button 4 but mouse 5 is slightly hard.But now i am adjusted to it so now its great.mouse lighting is good and neat.
