Perfect ... until it died after 6 months - but excellent customer service replaced it with a new one!
I REALLY loved this. It was perfect for chopping nuts, making salsa, guacamole and other such small jobs. But, after about 6 months, it just stopped working. It still looks brand new (wasn't used THAT often) but just won't work. I've changed the fuse (tried 3 different ones) but it must be something internal. Maybe it really only deserves 1 star for being so short-lived, but I added another as I loved it so much when it did work. Now I have the dilemma of whether to replace it and risk it dying again after a few months (or less as I now see from other reviewers) or buy something more robust that I might not like as much.Edit: I contacted Conair who make this and explained the situation. They asked for the Amazon transaction details (dates) and the serial number. They then sent me a label to return it to them via a pick-up service (lots of those locally). Less than a week later I got an email stating it couldn't be repaired so they were sending me a replacement with a new 5 year guarantee. 2 days later it arrived. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Still going strong after 9 years!
This mini processor is excellent.I purchased nearly 10 years ago and still going strong. I’ve seen that Jamie Oliver uses this exact model at his home after watching his keep calm and carry on cooking series during the covid lockdown. My use ranges from coffee beans, carrots, onions, celery, curry pastes and cashew butter. The good: obviously being compact it takes up less room on the kitchen counter, as such The chopper has a permanent space on the worktop where I prep, rather than store away so it gets weekly use.Powerful for its size, great at curry pastes, nut butters, root veg. I find adding a drop of water, oil etc half way through blending to move the consistency from chopped to paste if that’s what your looking for.The above goes for any blending tool.Don’t overload it, again this goes for any processor, blender juicer etc the more you fill it the more likely you will see spillage. That being said I do push it when creating curry pastes, and sometimes you do get liquid leaking out of the sealed lid but not like it’s spraying out and covering the whole room, it simply spills out in a small trickle. However this is also due to the fact that I tend to tilt the item to make sure I get a good blend. There are these inventions called a dishcloth that help you mop up an spills! I’ve read some reviewers had problems with units not working and replacements being sent then stopped working after one use, like all food processors you have to ensure the lid is pushed into the safety slot(not sure of the correct term) until it clicks into place, it should be obvious that you have achieved this. Perhaps the lid was not engaged in the slot or the food in the mixer bowl was trapped under the blade pushing it up therefore making it difficult to engage the safety, I know as I have down this a few times but usually when I have overloaded the bowl.Yes it is noisy, especially with coffee beans!! I think that is due to the power of the motor and the small casing, maybe not enough material to drown out the sound. In total I have four blender/processor tools! 1) this unit for small jobs pastes etc2) a fruit ninja 900w juicer which is used for liquids, smoothies, Yorkshire pudding battersetc3) kenwood processor for bigger tasks like making coleslaw, making dough4) a hand blender for blending in the pot, stocks, soups, curry base etcWould I buy again yes, should you yes

Avoid!
I ordered one of these and it didn't work, nothing happened at all when I turned it on. I tried everything that I could think of but nope, it wasn't going to play. So I told Amazon and asked for another one to be sent. That arrived and I turned it on empty to test it, yay it worked! So I put some food in it, we're talking a couple of strawberries here so not too much by any means, turned it on and yay, it worked! So I added a few small pieces of chilli and pressed the button, but nothing happened. I tried everything but nope, it was not playing ball and did not work any longer. So that one will go back too and I have bought a different brand, yes it was more expensive but it's so much better (not only because it actually works). If you're going to add it to that cupboard with electric kitchen appliances that never get used then it isn't too big so won't take up too much room in there and will look quite good. If you actually intend to use it then don't bother.

Convenient and functional chopper
I bought this chopper and grinder mainly to make chutneys and humus. which i use on a regular basis. At first I was very sceptic as the gadget looked very delicate and plastiky. I would say it does not look very robust but who cares, it just needs to grind and chop.My food processor is too big for making items for one person. This is a cute looking neat gadget that sits on my worktop and helps me to quickly chop stuff with ease. Pastes can also be made with great ease for curries or pasta.Cleaning is certainly easy. Mind the blades- real sharp. It is most suitable for one to two people.I have not yet used the grinding function as I already had a coffee grinder from Krupp which does all the spice grinding with ease

Indispensable
Bought one of these many years ago as a clearance item at the wholesalers. Didn't expect much of it because it was small and (at clearance price) very cheap but it has been an invaluable piece of kitchen equipment. So efficient at making sauces or purees. Occasionally, we would need a mini processor with a slightly bigger capacity so bought a Russell Hobbs which can take roughly double the quantity but it's not a patch on the Cuisinart for getting a smooth, lump free texture. Therefore, we were devastated when the old Cuisinart finally gave up the ghost after years of sterling service and we were so relieved to find the model was still available -even if we did have to pay roughly 4 times the price! Worth every penny.
