I purchased this for my grand daughter . It was suggested by a therapist as a learning tool. My grand daughter has loved this for a few years. Her favorite animal is the mommy and baby pig that came with this set. I repurchased for a co workers little boy. It is a great gift.

I found this toy most appropriate for younger toddlers, around 18 months of age. The object permanence activities are engaging for children who are just beginning to develop those skills, and the animal matching provides good opportunities for learning animal names and building vocabulary. The quality is good, and the activities are easy for young children to understand. However, older toddlers may find it too simple and lose interest fairly quickly. For language development, animal vocabulary, matching, and early cognitive skills, it is a nice option for younger learners, but I would look for something more challenging for children over 2½ years old.

I bought this for my 16 month old with the intention of saving it for her to gift for Christmas. I was too excited to wait that long, so we opened it and began playing. She enjoyed dropping the animals in and saying “uh oh”. We can do so much with this set- explore in and out, big and small, animal names, animal sounds. It is perfect and has held her attention unlike any other toy I have purchased. For now, I do plan to supervise her during play because this is recommended for ages 2 and up and she could put the smaller animals in her mouth. This set is durable and well made. When my daughter outgrows it I plan to use it in my classroom with my students.

Great product! Actually removed the little animals and put bigger (sparkle balls) in their place...for a one year old. He loves it.

This box is great for learing retrieval for development, the farm animals are cute and come with a parent and baby of each one, just to warn if you have a child who mouths a lot to supervise as the animals are small enough to choke on but big enough and chunky enough to handle through play from a young age. I put other small toys in the box to encourage manipulation of larger objects on retrieval. All in all a lovely toy with developmental a lovely aspect to it
