Wolky Women's Flat Sandals

Updated review: Bummer. After wearing these for an hour outside the house, I noticed the leather on one shoe is bubbled. I didn't see this in indoor light. It's not noticeable until daylight shines on my shoes, and then I see it immediately. Is Zappos selling defective shoes now? I'm stuck with these unfortunately, Ive worn them and can't return :( For this much money things like this should not happen. Also, I don't see this mentioned alot but the black sole leaves my feet black - especially around my calluses on my heels. I have to scrub it off with castile soap and it is removed but I wonder why the soles are staining my feet.Original review: I have a longer second toe and wear a size 11, so I bought the size 43 and they fit perfectly. My toes do not hang off the front edge at all, and they are immediately the most comfortable shoes I have worn since my last pair of Wolkys. I usually wear a 42 in other European sizes, but when researching this shoe I noticed the Zappos website mentioned specifically "The brand suggests ordering a full size up as this style runs small compared to traditional European sizing". Zappos is the seller of these Jewel shoes here too, so I can't imagine why this info isn't listed here on Amazon too but there you are.

For the PRICE I expected more comfort. Dorky looking. I hate this shoe. I kept thinking I would get to like it as everyone else seems to. I am so mad at myself for not returning it. It rubs in many places and it gets hot. The Velcro is rough on my ankle. Not enough arch support or support under ball of foot yet really big and clumsey sole. I have to keep readjusting the straps and take it off all together when I sit. It affects my knees adversely as well. I'm aware that the manufacturers can't predict which foot issues I have but the top of the shoe leather should at least be comfortable for everyone. Ugh!

I think these are terrible sandals. The footbed of these are rock hard! This is my first time buying these and also got sore feet from the insides rubbing on them. My feet are not wide at all. I always buy 10 in Allegra, easy spirit, sneakers. My foot came to the edge it is uncomfortable since there is a insert in the footbed that moves. The sandal edges cuts into the foot in the back or front. You can not walk in these very easy because there is not flexibility at all! I would not recommend these.

This is a great looking shoe. Perfect heal height. If you're uncertain of your European shoe size go ahead and order 1 size larger than the chart. I ordered this shoe after reading positive reviews about this brand. I have early stages of a bunion on my right foot and really wanted to have another pair of comfortable shoes. First, I returned 2 times to get the size that fit. I wear a size 10 and needed the largest size. My feet have a size 11 arch and 10 length. I've learned 11 N or 10 W will fit best. You'll learn early on the shoe strings will frequently come undone. I have to double tie them in order to keep them tied. The tongue of the shoe can become twisted if you're not careful. Color is nice...wish it was more like a chocolate brown instead of a rust brown. These shoes look great with jeans.

As a woman of a certain age with a number of chronic problems (read: lower back and knee), I can't say how much I love these sandals without waxing on and on about them. I have two pair - this one and one in a brown color - and wear them as often as I can. I am a middle school teacher and I stand and walk most of every school day - on concrete. Having a well-made, sturdy yet impact-absorbing shoe means I am not hobbling at the end of the day and hitting the pain medication hard. I have NO cartilage in my left knee - only bones and bone spurs. The more impact my shoes can absorb, the better. These sandals do that. And, they're cute to boot!

This pair of Wolly replaced an 8 year old pair. They are extremely comfortable but run small. I contacted the seller, Gabriel Shoes, who made the return a painless process. Love these sandals because of their removable footbed which means I can add an extra shoe insert between the layers to help raise the foot bed and bring the heal strap below my ankle, my ankle bone sits low on my foot and most other shoes run and cause blisters. Only complaint was one nylon thread in the heal strap was poking into my foot, which I fixed with hem tape.

I love Wolky Jewel's and have 6 pairs so far. They're expensive but mean no back pain to me. I'm always on the lookout for a good sale. I bought Clark's Un Harvest and wore them in my house for an hour and had to return them. I started to have back pain almost immediately but wanted to give them a chance. This is my shoe of choice. I have spent years buying shoes and not realizing that my back pains had anything to do with my feet. I'm a Wolky Jewel adovcate. I also have a pair of Nimes, no back pain with them but I prefer the Jewel.

These are great sandals! A friend of mine has had a pair for a few years that still look good, and I finally broke down and bought a pair after recovering from foot surgery and needing something that wouldn't dig into my foot all summer. I have had no issues at all and they are comfortable to wear all day and to walk in. My only complaint is that they are very squeaky (I have two pairs and both squeak, especially in humid weather). But the comfort and style make it the squeaking okay. I'm hoping that after they are broken in a little more maybe the squeak will go away a bit. I'd definitely buy another pair in a different color to have more Wolky to love.

I bought these shoes after an online recommendation for plantar fasciitis, which I have affecting both feet. So being autumn in Eastern Europe I have mostly walked in them around the house, and am happy with them so far. The platform height is good - the inner is soft yet supportive for my foot sole (although I may add a silicone arch support, for my high arches). The support in the bunion is good too. I have bunions, and the design does not accentuate them - as well as being soft against them. Pretty much a winner!

I’ve bought a pair before and they lasted for ages. As they now look shabby I’ve treated myself to a new pair.
