No more getaways at the park
Very good product, well-made and well designed. Nana's 12lb Rat Terrier required a Small adjusted in to fit properly and she is now safe and secure without having to crank the straps too tight. The third strap really makes a difference.

Hasn’t backed out
This harness is working great for me. My dog is a 56lb Pittie mix with a large chest but tiny waist so she was able to reverse out of two point harnesses. This one she can’t and doesn’t even try any more. I only use this for leash walking so she is never unattended while wearing. It is totally possible for her to chew thru and/or destroy the clips if given enough unsupervised time so it would not be good for tie outs with super chewers.

Lightweight, plastic buckles, thin nylon not for all-day wear
I'm giving it 5 stars because I do think it was advertised correctly and it appears to be a decent quality item. My review is sort of a mixed bag though, and this might or might not work for your dog and here is why : It seems to be sewn well. I don't feel any sharp edges where it touches my dogs skin. My dog has a neck injury and we purchased this to be able to help her hold steady, as they do not make a lift that works with her body type. (She doesn't need a lot of physical support, it's more of a comfort measure that she knows we are with her when she walks on slick floors during her recovery.) She is a Great Dane that has a very deep chest and slender build, like a very large grayhound. Her chest is 36 inches around just behind her front legs and the xl size harness loosened out to fit her well. We are using this in conjunction with a Loobani dog sling (also purchased on Amazon) for her rear legs until she regains a regular more confident gait. She will be unable to wear a collar in the future so this will be used for supervised outings, mostly just for identification purposes and short walks. That being said, I think it will work for us and what we need it for BUT it is not by any means heavy duty. It is lightweight and would not be suitable for everyday all-day wear. It would take my dog one chomp to get through it if she felt like it and wasn't supervised. The nylon is strapping is thin and I have to imagine it would not last very long if used all-day every day. The one thing I do not like at all about this harness is that the buckles are plastic. I knew this going in, but there are not a lot of double H harness options for large dogs in our price range. If my dog felt better and suddenly decided to pull, I'm not 100% sure that this could restrain a dog of her size. It's just not heavy enough and I can't trust the plastic buckles. It would probably be perfect for a less stout dog like a grayhound or another thin bodied deep chested breed but it's like they didn't scale up the strength of the materials to the strength of the size of the dog they are trying to secure. The hardware that snaps to a leash on her back is metal and well made. I do like that the strap farthest down her back is removable. It made the whole thing much easier to adjust. ***Update*** 6 months later and it is still going strong. My dog has regained the majority of her mobility back and is now able to pull, sometimes pretty hard. I was initially concerned with the strength of the harness not being enough for her but I do trust it now to hold her. I think the way her weight is distributed when she wears it causes the majority of her pulling weight to be distributed to the metal fittings and the plastic ones are only used in the areas of lower stress. It has held up very well.

No escape!
So many harnesses are easy to escape out of but the extra band that goes around the belly behind the rib cage keeps them strapped in! I have three of these for my three dachshunds. They swim in them, roll around in them, hike in them. The first two I ordered have held up for over a year now I believe and I expect the third will hold up just as well! No threads or stitching has come loose or undone. Only complaint I have is that I’d like more colors to choose from. I’d buy more if there were more colors!

Good quality, but not very user friendly
My dog has a narrow and deep chest, but is skinny on the hips, so any harness will not go far back enough to stay in place. Which means that when she chooses to “plant herself” or tries to pull away, they all tend to slide up, and I’ve had one slip out, though well positioned and adjusted. This has a third loop to it so one above and one below shoulders, and one that will sit above the hips and behind rib cage.First thing this is pretty thick material, but it’s soft enough not to create friction. Price is fair, for the type of harness, which isn’t very common to find in three loops. The length of it imho is not big enough, so if you have a large dog, trust the measurement, it is true to sizing: if you measured the hip one, trust it cause it’s not adjustsable beyond a certain point. It fits my dog “just right” she’s 65 lbs medium-large dog (border collie/Brittany mix). The buckles are clear plastic. Not sure how long they last, but we don’t use the harness a lot so for us it’ll be fine.It works though: she is a bit of a Houdini and can’t get out of this one. That said, it’s a pain to put on, abd she’s a squirmy dog. LOL! So she doesn’t make it easy. Here’s why:You need up adjust all three loops, which means you’ll adjust them while the harness is on the dog (good luck if your dog is impatient to go). Once adjusted it’ll be fine. However, each time you put it on, you slip the head through, but you have several buckles to clip on (and off) and the loops to put around the dog to fit.Not very user friendly in that sense. If you plan to use this every day, it will get frustrating, especially if your pup “wants to go” as soon as she sees the leash.Imho, it could have been done a bit better in that sense. If you’re okay with all that, then it’s a pretty decent harness. For me, and I don’t use it daily, I wish I had returned it and looked a bit more.

if not for the damn plastic clips
I have purchased this harness 3 times from amazon, and 3 times from other places. I have bought others from Ruffwear, specialty shops, Gooby, Rabbitgoo, and more ranging from $25-$130. This is the ONLY harness that my 110lb Great Pyrenees cannot escape from....UNTIL... the plastic buckles break. I have only been buying harnesses for him since March of this year when due to covid zapping my funds I had to move back in with my parents they do not have a fence, so he's only got it on to use the bathroom and to have a little outside time. all it takes is one squirrel to pass his view so that he tries to lunge and thereby pulls on his lead and it's over for at least 1 buckle. PLEASE MAKE ONE WITH METAL BUCKLES!!!!! PLEASEEEEEEEEE
