These cards are a quality product. They are plastic coated so they are durable. The letters and numbers are very clear and easily read. A friend we have played cards with for years has begun having vision problems and could not see the cards well enough to continue playing. We tried other decks for low vision with large numbers in different colors but he found them confusing and too difficult to follow. With the purchase of of these cards, the problem was solved--the numbers are large enough and in the correct colors. We have our friendly competions going again!

I was THRILLED to find these. They are the same size as a normal, ordinary set of 52 playing cards that you would expect. If you only look at the backside, you would never know these were special cards. My 90-yr old mother is nearly blind. She used to LOVE playing card games (canasta, rummy, crazy 8's), but then she couldn't see the card values or shapes of the suits anymore - she even had trouble detecting red from black. We have had so much fun together playing cards again!! The enjoyment she gets from being able to play with and see the over-sized characters (numbers, letters, suits) is outstanding!!! I feel like I've really brought some joy and entertainment back into her life. Great quality that you would expect. I'm REALLY glad I found them online. I wish I could afford to get more decks to share with other seniors or vision impaired folks.I also bought her some card holders as her hands can't always clasp the cards for longer periods of time.

My father is doing so much better with these cards over standard size playing cards. I think it would help if the suit were in the opposite corner of the card rather than under the number. We use them for solitaire so it is not always easy to tell suits. And he sometimes mixes up the Queen and Nine. Jacks need larger tails. But overall, very pleased that my father is not so confused. He is obviously less frustrated when we play.

A few years ago, my grandmother passed away. My granpa was left alone, so one of the ways my family sought to help him was getting together once a week to play cards and bet a little money for the winner. It really helped but since my grandfather is 86 now, he has trouble hearing and seeing. Still, he continued to play.The last few months it started getting frustrating for him and he was becoming less motivated to play. So I thought I'd look for some cards to help him out and found these. His reaction when they showed him the cards was priceless; he couldn't believe he could clearly read them, with no problems at all! I bought these for my 90 year-old grandmother to give her something to do and it was definitely a hit. She remarked about how easy it was to see the markings on the cards and she uses them alot. She has Alzheimers and it is a great way to keep her hands busy and gives her something to do. She can't really stay focused on card games but she likes to shuffle and do her own thing with them. Really glad I purchased.

I bought these for a bit of a joke because some of the card decks I have used recently for card night have numbers that are small and harder to see. The problem with these is that the numbers are so big that if you play a game where you need to hold a lot of cards and see them all (we were playing a rummy game with 11+ cards per hand), you have to spread them out so far to see each number that they are to hard to hold.

These were purchased for my grandpa who loves to play cards with the grand kids, but who has a difficult time seeing due to his glaucoma and degeneration. These were just about the perfect size for him to be able to read the number and the suit and being able to play cards again has really lifted his spirits. I recommend these if you have someone who likes to play cards and has vision troubles. They sure made my grandpa happy!

I was so disappointed in my purchase of the "Super Jumbo Playing Cards"As the caregiver of a elderly patient who is sight impaired, I was looking forward to having a LARGE decks of cards, not a standard size set of cards with just larger numbers.Article description should SPECIFY that these cards are not "Super Jumbo" but just "normal" size with larger numbers.Not only was I disappointed, but so was my patient who was looking forward to playing cards again. But alas, "Super Jumbo" was Super Misleading! One star rating for quick delivery. Too bad I have to return them!!
