I fell in love with Madeleine's Asylum series years ago, and found this while browsing books. I bought it immediately, along with the Asylum Novellas and Escape from Asylum. House of Furies is wonderfully atmospheric, and refreshingly unique. I'm halfway through right now and I'm enthralled! Roux's style of character creation is fantastic! Her characters are instantly relatable and endearing, drawing you in to be part of the story.Also, being a WoW player for over 10 years, I was also overjoyed to find out she wrote the newest World of Warcraft lore book! I'm so excited to read the next book in one of my favourite storylines written by one of my favourite authors!If you haven't already, do check out this incredible story teller!

I'm a big fan of Victorian Gothic tales and folk tales in general so this story was really along the lines of my favorite genres. I really liked the diversity of the characters, the variety of creatures that appear and the illustrations were a great touch. I don't want to write too much about the story for fear of giving it away, but I really enjoyed the tale and I look forward to the next two books to see what these characters get up to.
