This is hard to review, but I will try.I have a left parted haircut. I started with the Clay from Shu' Mera. Love it, and thinking about buying it, but I like the Oribe Molding PASTE because it it gives my hair a little more shine for a healthier look.I used the Molding WAX for about a year, and its superior in hold, and gives a nice matte finish. And while it says its a wax, it's not wax. I have used other wax products where you cannot wash it off your hands. You don't have to use your lifeforce to emulsify the product between your hands. It washes off nicely, and leaves your hair nice with a non-waxy texture.VERDICT: You won't find this in CVS. This is a high quality product, but there's a million high quality products. It just takes experimenting and the look you want. This product will do best with short hair. It's like holding gel, but with more give, better texture, and a matte finish. If that's what you're looking for, it's worth the $40. I prefer the Paste just because its one step lower in terms of hold.

As advertised and intended. Holds well. Smells even better. High quality to be expected from Oribe brand. Easy to use and wash out. Isn’t too greasy like some other products. Subtle shine.

The hold of the product is not too firm and leaves the hair feeling healthy and natural, with a finished look.

Scent is very nice and has decent hold.It has a more matte finish and works in well nice after you blow dry for added volume.Expensive for the amount, but the quality is definitely there.

Love the combination of hold, and texture. Never feels like I have too much product in. I have very lightweight hair with a lot of fly-aways that need controlling. Just a little bit of this spread over my palms, or even between two fingers, immediately settles them into place and lasts all day. Has a great scent too which is never overpowering and is not noticeable to me once I have finished working the product into my hair.

I love this because it gives a great texture to my thinner straighter hair after I curl it. It holds my curls for days. Love the smell.

i have short, thick, wavy hair. this product was not exactly what i was looking for. the shine and texture are great, but it had very little hold on my hair, and did not control the frizz. it did however make it very soft.
