My art teacher put this in her syllabus, it holds ink well, not just pen ink but the dip a really expensive pen or feather in, kind of ink. It's so worth the money and the paper is phenomenal. If you want to get into art, this is the sketchbook to go with, seriously, it's got a hardcover, how much better can a sketchbook get?

I bought this for another person and then got one for myself. It has nice smooth pages for drawing and can take a couple of light watercolor washes, but their watercolor version is much better for that. It's a great sketchbook for a great price.
