I previously owned the HBS-730 and HBS-810. Things I like about Tone headphones Battery Life – I don’t have to charge them every night Convenience – Always with me, hard to lose. Comfort – you will forget you are wearing themThe 835’s feel a bit bigger, a bit lighter, and more plastic-y than previous models. They are flat black and unadorned, which I prefer. Retraction is not as smooth as the HBS-810, but it works so far.All controls moved to the left side. The single slider controls volume and track. The single button controls media and calls. An improvement in my opinion.The incessant flashing blue LED is still here.Call quality has not improved. Any conversation over 30 seconds, I turn off Bluetooth and use the phone.Previous models could only remember 2 pairings. Switching devices meant resetting the headphones and repairing. My 835’s with Bluetooth 5.0 are currently paired with 4 devices, 2 iOS, OSX, and Windows 10. Switching connections is less elegant than other brands, but the 835 is an improvement over the LG Tone BT 4 models.Update after a few weeks.The consolidated multi function button offers play/pause and redial. There is no option to activate a voice assistant.If you experience audio cutting out briefly on iPhone, make sure you are only connected to the hbs835 entry in Bluetooth settings. Do not connect the second entry, hbs835_BLE.

These are comfortable to wear but they cut out if you wear them and try to workout or do pretty much anything physically. The sound quality it pretty good if you dont move. I wouldn't them again. I have an older set that were much better. Also they have almost no range at all. I have to have my phone on me to listen with these. Sadly I am disappointed. I do like that the wires retract into the them and stay out of the way when not in use

After nearly 3 years of daily use, this headset finally gave out on one ear bud. I was surprised it lasted this long. This headset has traveled the world with me, worked on the farm, been out in 100+ degree temps and in near 0 degree temps. Sat inside a locked vehicle in the summer, been in hiking gear during the winter, and everything in between. Sad to see it go, wish I could find another one here on Amazon. Would absolutely buy it again!

I purchased my LG HBS-835 last September. The right ear shorted out about 6 months ago; now the left one has done the same. The battery life is probably the best on the market, but this is still very disappointing. I've owned about 3 LG bluetooth headsets now. On the previous one, the retractable feature broke after about 2.5 years and the ears shorted out after about 3 years. I didn't expect the retraction to last that long, so I was pleased.The cords on this generation (the LG HBS-835) are extremely thin. As I've contemplated purchasing a replacement headset, the same model I purchased last September for $79.99 is presently between $118-$130. Since the previous two models lasted 3+ years, I never imagined this one would be completely dead in under one year.All I can say right now is that I'm very disappointed.Buyer- beware!!!I think I may have to find a new manufacturer of blue tooth headphones.

I gives this product almost a perfect rating the only issue I have had is one of the ear buds stopped working after 6 months. I did not purchase a warranty so there was nothing I could do about fixing it.However I can still talk to people, and it rests comfortably around my neck so much so that I sometime forget that I am wearing it. When I talk to people they usually hear me really well unless I'm in a dead zone. I can't hear my surroundings very much when I am on the phone so the noise cancellation is great.Overall a good buy so long as a ear bud doesn't go out. But still works even with just one.
