Mounted easily and functions well

The quality of this product is great, very well built! Welds are all very good and clean. I would have preferred a metal toilet paper holder as opposed to the plastic one that came with the unit, but that is no big deal. As far as being easy to install, I guess that it would depend upon what you are attaching it to, but for most walls (drywall, tile, block) I would say no, it's not easy to install and that you should have a professional install it in order to have a safe and secure installation. That being said, the guests do like it and I would highly recommend this product!

This grab bar is convenient in that it pulls down, so I have space to the side of the toilet when it is lifted out of the way. It is very sturdy (due to a good handyman) as it is bolted into a stud & anchored. The TP holder is an added bonus as we had to take out the holder on the opposite wall.

Very strong once installed but installation can be difficult. I put this in for my aging mother by the toilet to help her get up and down after her fall. The installation isn’t easy because of the wide mounting surface. I didn’t want to tear out the drywall to add additional support so I just used two 3/4 inch plywood pieces on the drywall spanning two studs then secured the mount to the plywood. I upgraded the hardware to 3/16 stainless steel lag bolts but the ones that came with it were quite good. Overall it looks pretty bad with the plywood but if I painted the wood to match the drywall I think it would blend in a lot better. I am satasifed with the results tho and recommend this. It could also be used other places but has the toilet paper holder which might be undesirable.

You have to make sure you have studs to screw it into. Super sturdy and useful for my father in law . Love the fact it goes up and down to get out of way for cleaning.

Very easy to install

This grab bar has really been a Godsend for getting into and out of a bathtub for a person who has suffered two strokes and has difficulty walking or otherwise getting into the tub. Initially we thought that the professional who selected and installed this device was overkilling. We were wrong. It is well worthwhile.

Love the fact that it's dependable, but also that you can get it out of the way for cleaning access. Another important thing is that it's there on the days you need it and can be pushed up and out of the way on "feel good" days.

After doing extensive research on this product, as similar products, I decided on the "Moen" Home Care 30 " grab bar(s) with toilet paper holder, as my past experiences with the "Moen" brands has always been very positive for their quality (and customer service...........although, I personnally, never had a need to contact customer service, as their product always stood the test of time.)This product is really well made, excellent welds and craftmanship.........very solid!

If installed with long bolts into solid backing (studs or plates), the bars are very sturdy. Nothing wrong with the bars.Note to be careful which side you place the bar with the toilet roll holder. Switching the sides later, which means unscrewing or unbolting both arms from the wall, will weaken the attachment. The holder is too far back and hard to get at if the user is not skinny or slumps a bit or the seat/toilet tank combination places the user further away from the wall. Also difficult to use one-handed: the roll rolls too freely. Would be good if the manufacturer tested the product with actual disabled people.
