Not very good if you use them a lot or put a lot of weight on them
So I'm going through 68W AIT right now (US Army combat medic training) and getting a ton of use out of these. We have to do a ton of work on our knees over a casualty lying down, often with upwards of 80-90 lbs of weight on our back. Kneepads are essential, and these help... but not as much as they should. They're obviously designed for more lightweight use, like playing airsoft every now and again or something, because they just don't work well for extended periods. They'll slip to the sides. The straps will slip down. They just don't have the best weight distribution. If I'm wearing knee pads, I shouldn't have abrasions and scabs on both knees, no matter how much weight I put on them or how much I shift around. I'm a decently big guy - 6'1" and 170lbs - but I still feel like I'm too big for them. If you're bigger than me (in height OR weight), look for something else. If you're going to use them a lot, definitely spend extra and get a nice pair, because these will leave your knees hurting. If I deploy any time soon, I'll be getting a new set of knee pads, because these just won't cut it. They seem like they'll be good for airsoft or something, though.

I know I've worn them working in my garden where I have to crawl around over rocks and stumps and I'd call that pretty "normal"
The velcro holds securely around my knees, and they're well padded in the back so they won't rub and chafe during "normal" use. Now I say "normal" because I know these are marketed as tactical knee pads so I don't know what they consider to be "normal" use. I know I've worn them working in my garden where I have to crawl around over rocks and stumps and I'd call that pretty "normal" kind of everyday use for most customers. And they survive that, and keep me protected. So I give them a good review for what I wanted them to do, but I don't have the life experience to speak to them as "tactical" knee pads.

Good set of kneepads for the price.
Knee pads are a good size. Padding has held up so far.2 drawbacks.1. Lack of instructions for wear. Cross strap, straight, buckles inside knee or outside? For people who this is the first set that would be helpful.2. These are strap to velcro design. That means you have to remove the strap from the buckle every time. Also means it is hard to get them back to the same tightness every time. If this is a big deal for you find a pair that have a side connector rather than pull through strap design.

Save your Knees
Got these to use for law enforcement training after 3 knee surgeries. Getting slammed to the ground in defensive tactics training and kneeing on gravel while shooting during qualifications can hurt like hell after having your patellas moved over... Having been a spelunker (caver) I've owned a few sets of knee pads over the years. I wanted something more tactical that I could keep in the patrol truck for those times when I might have a few minutes to throw them on before engaging. These fit the bill quite nicely. Got them at the right price on Amazon, they are comfortable and offer plenty of protection and adjustment. I had no problem with them at the range, and they kept me from bawling like a baby when I was slammed to the mat in training or kneeing down on a spent shell at the range. They come in a few different colors, I got black. They look nice, very tactical, and offer protection when kneeing is required such as shooting positions. Blackhawk makes some quality equipment and these knee pads are on par with others I have seen. Be sure to put the left one on the left knee and the right one on the right knee.Pros - Protection is good, easy to put on without sitting down, goes on in seconds. No crimping in the back of the knee like other knee pads. Pretty good quality. Look badass...Cons - The elastic bands will eventually wear out.

Super protective, nothing is perfect though
I used these for snowboarding to protect my knees. Maybe these could use some more padding on the inside too which I am going to look into, but all in all they did the job. I fell on my knees many times and it was only towards the end that my right knee started to feel it. The pad could have potentially spun around or not been tight enough, but I am satisfied with the end result. Way better than falling on my bare knees on the slopes.

Protect Your Knees, No Matter What The Task.
I bought these after I had to change a tire in a mall parking lot one night after closing. I know I know... it sounds like it wouldn't be that big of a deal, right? But even asphalt gets little chunks of rock and glass on it that grind into your knees when changing a flat. After these came in and I got the flat fixed, I used them in my driveway (knobby stones!) to put the original tire back on and they made the experience MUCH more enjoyable. Well maybe not "enjoyable", but my knees were debris-free. I've also used them while gardening and they're pretty comfortable for the hour or so I needed them.

Excelentes.

Pretty damn good
These aren't "real" quality but they're still good for what they are. I've obviously never used them to John McClane into a combat situation but instead use them while doing old man carpentry stuff and also paintball/airsoft and they haven't let me down. High quality and comfy, although I find that either my legs are much smaller than I thought or these are made to be worn on top of like four layers. I had to do some surgery to them to get them to fit properly and overall I kinda wish I'd gotten the Russian SPLAV style kneepads but these are still pretty good.

Good enough
Played 4 hours of airsoft today with one of these on my right knee. I was crawling, running, and sliding through dirt and underbrush the whole time. And i only had one moment where I had to readjust the knee pad. Otherwise it stayed in place and I barely had to think about it. It would be nice to be able to more finely adjust how tight the straps are, it seems the only choices are to loose at painfully tight, although wearing it tight kept it on my knee.

... yet but my first impressions of the pads were good, they were large
These items just came in the mail today so I haven't field tested them yet but my first impressions of the pads were good, they were large, the plastic plate is large and flexible. I am impressed on how large they pads actually were and they are quite comfortable as well. The only draw back with these is pads that I experienced by putting them on is the straps were kind of difficult to fit around my legs, although I am a large and muscular man so that would explain why the straps are tight, despite on how tight they were the pads still remained comfortable and the straps will most likely fit perfect on people that are not as big as I am. In a field situation the velcro might come undone, this is based on my previous experience with similar knee pads, I have not done a proper field test so I do not know for sure but I will mend this section of my review once I have tested them. On a last note they look sweet, they increased the awesome factor of the rest of my gear by ten.
