A special collectors' edition of three Aster ix stories - ASTERIX THE LEGIONARY, ASTERIX AND THE CHIEFTAIN'S SHIELD and ASTERIX AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES - in one volume. Review: Great book - Funny comics, always loved them Review: Classic that still holds up - Classic. Bought this for my son since I grew up reading the series, and it still holds up. Genuinely funny, and the humour translates well for a younger reader. The omnibus format is good value with three stories in one volume, and print quality is solid. Bonus: shipped quickly and cheaper than the bookstore.

To see Asterix still available
This was a present for our grandson's 9th birthday. I was especially pleased as he asked for this book in particular. He has been getting ready early for school so that he can read before he leaves home! Our son, back in 1977, spent his 9th birthday in hospital with a broken thigh bone and he really took to Asterix books during his 6 week stay. He wasn't a keen reader before this but never looked back after that time.
