Cwell Equine Mini Lightweight Turnout Shetland Rug Pony Rug Foal Rug No Fill Black/Yellow (3 Feet)

I bought this unlined Cwell turnout rug for an elderly Shetland. It is a perfect fit for him. Rugs of some other makes are too deep through the body & hang below the pony's knees. This Cwell one does not. It seems to be well made with good, sturdy buckles & straps. After 36 hours of rain, it is also waterproof except where the straps are sewn on & the shoulder pleats begin. There is a small leakage in these areas. I hope it is owing to the rug being unlined as I hope to buy a lined one for the winter months.. My only quibble with the rug is that the leg straps, although elasticated, are absurdly short. At their longest, they nestle either side of his sheath. The girth straps are also very short. I have docked a star for this but otherwise, it is a great rug for a small Shetland.

Works well in the showers and light rain. I don’t turn my ponies out in horrendous weather so can’t comment on heavy rain. My little old Shetland looks like royalty in her “wee rain Mack”. My only slight criticism is that I had to order the four foot one to replace the original order of 3 ft 6 as it was too small. ( she measures 3ft 5 inches. ) so it’s smaller than one would think.

Bought this for my 11.2, 22yr old Welsh A and its a bit small around the barrel. He is thin as he has Cushings and laminitis but it is made more for a foal or Shetland. It's also not completely waterproof and he was soaked through after 3 hours in the feild. Would be a good rug over a stable rug for extra waterproofing but as a turnout rug for winter weather, not so good

Very narrow, more like a foal rug than for a mini, size up if wide shouldered.

Great lil rug for the price, lucky enough to have the right size in, my boys not always easy

If you but this product, Oder two sizes larger than you need , sizes extremely small

It fitted the pony lovely
